After many successful years in the sizing division, we are bidding farewell to our colleague 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗪𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗻𝗲𝗿 into well-deserved retirement. Following the integration of EkaChem Erich Kögel GmbH into Textilchemie Dr. Petry GmbH in 2018, Mr Wullner took over the management of the sizing agent product area. With his decades of experience in weaving preparation, his in-depth specialist knowledge and his practical customer advice, he has played a key role in shaping our portfolio - for which we would like to express our sincere thanks! We wish him all the best, good health and many fulfilling moments in this new phase of his life.

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝘇𝗼𝗴 will take over responsibility for the specialist area with immediate effect. As a certified Foreman in Textile Manufacturing, he has extensive technical expertise and a deep understanding of the requirements of sizing and weaving. He strengthens our team as a competent contact person for all aspects of our sizing products and individual solutions.

At the end of April, another Bluesign assessment took place at our headquarters in Reutlingen. The Swiss auditor checked whether we meet the requirements of the eco-label. There was a lively exchange and various discussions. We can look back on a successful day and thank our employees in the Bluesign and QM team. This positive assessment means we can continue to register products with Bluesign!

We are pleased to announce that we have successfully passed our recertification audit for quality management (DIN EN ISO 9001) and environmental management (DIN EN ISO 14001) in Reutlingen (Germany) and Sennwald (Switzerland)! This is an important milestone that underlines our commitment to continuous improvement and responsible business practices. A big thank you to our dedicated team for their contribution and to our auditors from DQS Deutschland!

Over the last few days, our employees have been trained in first aid. Although this knowledge should be available at all times, it has been years since the last course for many employees. Now all course participants are up to date and can provide first aid in the event of accidents at work and in their private lives.

Today, the female employees (and a few male) of our company are continuing the beloved annual carnival custom of “Dirty Thursday” by coming to work in creative costumes.

“𝗪𝗲𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗮𝘀𝗻𝗲𝘁” (𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹) is a very old tradition that dates back to the Middle Ages, in which women take over power for a day and nowadays express this by cutting off men's ties, for example.

Rudi Breier, Head of Development at Dr. Petry Textile Auxiliaries, gave the presentation "Using biotechnology for sustainable textile finishing processes" at the CLIB International Conference 2025 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
