your daily reminder that overconsumption isn’t a personality trait, and buying 47 polyester tops for $83 isn’t the flex you think it is. somewhere along the way, we normalized buying piles of disposable clothing just because it’s cheap, without giving much thought to who made it, how it was made, or where it ends up when we’re done with it.
we’re not here to convince you to buy more s**t. we’re here to convince you to buy better s**t. where you spend your money matters. shopping small supports real people, their livelihoods, and the communities around them. it keeps original ideas alive and gives independent creators a fighting chance against corporations that couldn’t care less about you.
every order placed with a small business means something. it’s not just another transaction buried in millions of sales. when we are at a market, I remember faces who’ve shopped with us before, when we get repeat sales, I remember what you ordered last time (gods cursed me with an insane memory). i go out of my way to treat each customer like they are the valued tiny little princesses they are, because girl you deserve at least that in this hectic world we live in. so buy less, buy intentionally, and when you do spend your hard-earned money, think about who you’re giving it to. and if you’re gonna buy something ridiculous, it might as well be something embroidered by some weirdos in new jersey. 🖤
f**k fast fashion. shop small. stay weird.
