The older I get, the more I realise how much of my childhood I still carry with me.
Little rituals, habits and things that felt completely ordinary growing up in Bukhara – but somehow became some of my favourite memories. 🤍

I’ve been back in Germany for ten days now, and I still think about this trip every single day. All the photos here were taken during those days – somewhere between family, heat, old tapestries, fabrics, train rides, lots of food, and far too little time.

It was my husband’s second time in Uzbekistan, and once again, our trip was a wild mix of visiting my extended family, doing the classic tourist things, designing new pieces for my online shop, searching for old tapestries – and trying to show him a little more of the country I call home.

The trip was warm, sunny, full of love, intense – and far too short.

Anyone who regularly goes “back home” for their holidays probably knows that it’s rarely a real vacation. You try to see as many people as possible, visit all the places you’ve missed, and get everything done in just a few days – while somehow trying to hold on to that feeling of being home.

I miss those days so much✨☀️

Instagram and I are in a constant on-again, off-again relationship. Here’s a little recap of what’s been happening over the past few months🫶✨:

Three little packages arrived with your custom-made vests.

During the week, I often looked like this: juggling three jobs and a few personal challenges, tired but still very happy and fulfilled.

I had several appointments in Reutlingen with Mrs. Victor. Later, my first exhibition took place at her space🫶.

Ramadan: For the first time, I fasted for many days throughout Ramadan. It was beautiful and deeply spiritual✨.

Thessaloniki — a few days by the sea did us a world of good, and we were finally able to switch off and recharge.

Thank you to every one of you who continued to order our pieces and support me, even during my absence here.

My first exhibition took place, and I never imagined we would receive so much interest and encouragement.

GEA feature.

Our first Suzani jacket with upcycled sheepskin. It will probably remain a made-to-order piece forever. Creating this jacket was challenging and complex, which surprised all of us.

Launching my personal Substack. I want to write more about my culture through the lens of identity and fashion, while also sharing my thoughts and reflections. Feel free to stop by.

I’m currently working on new pieces. Let’s see what our team will create next.

I grew up wearing clothes sewn by seamstresses in Bukhara — made for real bodies, not standard sizes.
Today, we still work this way.
No stretch fabrics. No fittings. Just cotton, silk, precision — and trust.
It’s beautiful.
It’s risky.
It’s deeply personal.
Because clothing made to measure doesn’t just fit your body —
it tells your story.

I am currently obsessively reading “The Life of Forms”by Alessandro Michele and Emanuele Coccia.

I am fascinated by Alessandro Michele’s worldview.

His thoughts on collections have made me pause—especially when he philosophizes about the history of the clothes we all wear every day.

How can we tell stories through our clothing—without words?✨

Even when chaos takes over and I don’t know where the beginning or the end is, it feels so good to work on something that truly has meaning.
Last year, I struggled a lot.
There were so many inner doubts, so much insecurity.
The pressure I put on myself kept growing, and I felt like I could never live up to my own expectations.
That’s why I appreciate this journey with my company even more today.
Searching for creative ways to reach my goals.
Experiencing and learning something new every day.
Filming videos again — imperfect, but made with my whole heart.
Meeting kind, supportive people.
Moving forward slowly.
I’m so grateful that I’ve found a healthier pace — one that matches my inner rhythm and brings me real joy instead of pressure.
After a darker phase of deep inner struggles (the Year of the Snake has challenged many of us in that way), it simply feels good to be at peace with myself.

✨ MLB Book Club – 08. März ✨
Der 8. März ist für mich ein Tag mit Geschichte.
Vor 100 Jahren verbrannten Frauen in Zentralasien öffentlich ihre Kopftücher – als Zeichen von Freiheit.
Und ich frage mich: Wie weit sind wir heute wirklich gekommen?
Was bedeutet es, heute eine Frau zu sein?
Bei MLB haben mich immer Frauen und ihre Träume inspiriert.
Deshalb möchte ich den 8. März zum Anlass nehmen, zusammenzukommen und gemeinsam über ein Buch zu sprechen, das wunderschön ist – und gleichzeitig weh tut.

Some fabrics carry more than beauty✨🌸

The fabric of this collar comes from my mother’s dowry. In Uzbekistan, it is known as the queen of fabrics: Khan Atlas— the silk of kings. I grew up with this fabric, wrapped in its colors and stories. Every celebration, every special moment of my childhood was marked by a dress made from Khan Atlas.

Last summer, I rediscovered my mother’s dowry fabrics, especially her small collection of Khan Atlas (see the third and fourth images). I was overwhelmed with joy. Together with our seamstress Guli, we designed this collar as a warm, meaningful detail — bringing Uzbek colors, heritage, and emotion into the outfit🫶.
