The Tree of Kai is a symbolic design that draws from ancient Norse belief and centers on Yggdrasil, the great world tree. This tree stands at the center of all realms and holds the structure of the cosmos together. In this design, Yggdrasil is seen as the axis mundi, the world axis that connects heaven, earth and the underworld.

The Tree of Kai design presents this structure in visual form. The roots stretch downward, reaching into deep places. The trunk rises straight and strong, holding the balance between realms.
The branches reach upward, expanding into the sky, and there the bird rests, a symbol of knowledge, motion and unseen forces.

Let’s from the Cambodian jungle 🌱

Hidden among the temples of Angkor, Banteay Kdei was built in the late 12th to early 13th century during the reign of King Jayavarman VII, one of the Khmer Empire’s greatest builders.

A Buddhist monastic complex of galleries, courtyards and towers, its name means “Citadel of Chambers”. Its architecture reflects the Bayon style, with carved apsaras, devatas and traces of Buddhist imagery woven into the sandstone walls.

But Banteay Kdei still holds some mysteries. Unlike many of Angkor’s great temples, no inscription has been found that clearly identifies its founder or original dedication.

In 2001, archaeologists uncovered a remarkable cache of 274 fragments of Buddhist sculptures, deliberately buried beneath the temple grounds. The discovery offered another glimpse into the changing religious history of Angkor.

Today, roots, stone and centuries of weather have become part of the temple itself 🤍

Loki, the shapeshifting trickster god of Norse mythology, is a figure of contradiction, by turns mischievous and malevolent, helper and betrayer. Among his many transformations, one of the most symbolic and evocative is his donning of the Valshamr, the falcon cloak or feathered dress. This magical garment, often associated with the goddess Freyja, allowed the wearer to take on the form of a bird and fly between worlds. When Loki takes the falcon form, it is more than a disguise, its an expression of his liminality, his movement between gods and giants, order and chaos.

Let’s visit a royal monument to - Kong Svends Høj

Built around 3200 BC, this Neolithic passage grave is more than 5000 years old.

Its massive stone structure consists of a long passage leading into a burial chamber, carefully built from enormous boulders and topped with heavy capstones. Some of the stones were deliberately split in two before being placed into the monument.

Hidden in the landscape of Lolland, Kong Svends Høj is a Neolithic passage grave built around 3200 BC - long before the Viking Age, and thousands of years before any Danish king named Svend could have been associated with it.

A Viking Age memorial stone from Östergötland to

The Ög 47 runestone was carved during the 11th century. Like many Scandinavian runestones, it was raised to honor the dead, preserving both personal memory and a family’s place in the landscape.

Its inscription, carved in the younger futhark, follows the familiar Viking Age tradition of commemorating loved ones through stone.

Maybe we should with “Guess the object?” 👀
This object was discovered in Basse Yutz, France.
It is among the finest surviving examples of Celtic metalwork from Iron Age Europe. Crafted from bronze and decorated with intricate spirals, animal figures and coral inlays, it was not an everyday drinking vessel, but a prestigious object used at elite feasts. Our object is one of the two Basse Yutz Flagons, a pair of Iron Age ceremonial drinking vessels from the mid 5th century BCE.
