Designer of a jewellery brand in her own name.

The danish designer Zarah Voigt is known for her ability to create sophisticated and spectacular jewellery collections. Her creations are elegantly refined in their own language of personal forms. Articulating the sweltering richness of the theatre, she boils it down into the miniature-world of jewellery, and generates small theatre-sets, stargazing-universes - always with her dramatic aesthetics

and graphic signature - combined with an explicit sense for materials, contours and silhouettes. New collections are launched half-yearly - everything handmade and manufactured by the highest standards. Zarah Voigt is educated as a Scenographer for stage and in Haute Couture techniques by her father the multi-artist Jean Voigt. She went on to study Fine Arts in London and have worked as a scenographer creating set designs and costumes for several theatre plays – along working in different fields of the fashion world. – Ex. as Head Designer for the grand Walk In Style show in Copenhagen. For the last 3 years Zarah Voigt has been designing christmas decoration collections for the multi-brand Rosendahl. “Min æstetik og designsignatur er i høj grad præget af min lyst til og mit brændende ønske om at skabe visuel nydelse, hvor grænserne og konformiteten ophører – men stadig med en vis stramhed og en disciplineret retningslinje, der sætter skønheden og elegancen i højsædet og samtidig ikke bekymrer sig om sædvane, normer og begrænsninger.

Jeg er betaget af en balanceret overdådighed og ødselhed af pragt og ynde, kombineret med modige linjer, der kontrastfuldt bryder spændingen.

Min smykkekollektion ”Nuages Baroque” (barokke skyer) ser jeg som forløsningen af min fascination af konkylier og deres forrygende former.

Næsten som i en drøm, hvor gyldne, voluminøse ‘konkylie-skyer’ overvældende buldrer afsted, har jeg fastfrosset dem i en fysisk form og gengivet dem med svungne linjer i ædle metaller, dryppende med barokperler og ædelsten.

Gyldne ornamenter der, som fløjl, kærtegner huden.

Min kærlighed til smykker er eviggyldig.

Smykker kan opbevare vores hemmeligheder og kan dermed blive personlige og betydningsfulde.”
