Ocean welcomes Werner Matthiesen as new Chief Sales Officer
We are very pleased to welcome Werner Matthiesen as Ocean Textiles new Chief Sales Officer (CSO), effective May 1.
In his new role, Werner Matthiesen will be responsible for strengthening and expanding our sales activities, with a strong focus on our customers and their needs. He will play a key role in building relationships, developing sales channels across our markets, and driving the continued success of Ocean’s products.
Werner brings extensive industry experience and strong commercial leadership to Ocean. Most recently, he served as CEO of Fristads DACH. Before that, he was Export Manager at SIKA Footwear in Herning and spent many successful years as Head of Sales at Deerhunter / F. Engel K/S.
There is also a special piece of trivia that makes this appointment even more meaningful: around 20 years ago, Werner was already a successful Export Manager at Ocean. Now he returns to the company with a wealth of international experience and fresh perspectives — something we are both proud of and excited about.
Werner’s wish to live and work in his chosen home country, Denmark, made Ocean a natural and exciting next step for him. We are delighted that we were able to welcome him back to the Ocean family.
