Sampling is one of the most important stages in fashion product development.
A great sketch is only the beginning. The real work starts when the design becomes a garment — and every detail has to be checked, corrected and tested before production.
From technical chart accuracy and pattern balance to fabric behaviour, fitting, wrinkles and construction, every correction made during sampling helps prevent bigger mistakes later.
One of the most important rules?
Never correct only the sample. Correct the pattern and update the measurements too.

Good sampling helps avoid:
• Poor fit
• Production mistakes
• Fabric waste
• Delays
• Rework
• Inconsistent sizing
• Unnecessary costs

A professional sampling process should always follow:
Technical Chart → Pattern → First Sample → Fitting → Corrections → Pattern Update → Second Sample → Final Approval → Production
