Do you recognize these crosses? Another country has just appeared on the Small Needle map.

I truly love this shade of red for tabards, so I’m always happy when I get a chance to work with it.

Recently, several tabards travelled to a new country for me - Switzerland - for the club and the Swiss national team.

I’ve been to Switzerland many times before, but surprisingly, I’d never had an order from this beautiful country… until now.

Time to fix that. 🇨🇭🪡

Turning fantasy into reality 🪄

It’s always exciting when a customer comes to us with an idea that only exists in their head - and we bring it to life.
Technology keeps moving forward, and more and more often people don’t come with sketches or pencil drawings anymore, but with AI visualisations.

Of course, AI doesn’t care how a garment will actually be made. Digital clothes don’t need comfort, durability, or even real construction.
And that’s exactly what makes it interesting - to translate a digital fantasy into a physical piece you can wear and fight in.

Hundreds of tabards, dozens of gambesons, and countless historical garments - all in just 365 days.
It was, without a doubt, the most intense year in Small Needle’s history, and we’re not planning to stop here.

When I started sewing, it was only dresses and only for myself.
Then I began sewing for others and little by little, dresses became rare guests on my table.
That’s why it feels especially good to make one again, just for me.

Meet my new Kampffrau dress, inspired by the early 16th century.
A mix of strength and grace. The deep purple and black wool, the hand-smocked sleeves, the lacing, the hat with feathers — every detail reminds me why I fell in love with historical clothing in the first place 🖤💜
