I went to India to nourish my soul.
Quite a spontaneous trip.

I felt the call to rest, to center, and to learn something that might change the way I perceive life. I’m learning it’s not what we were taught. And it makes me want to learn more.

So I packed a gentl bag:

Linen is at the heart of gentl.
Our first, second, and now (soon to come) third collections are all linen-based.

As we become more aware of how we live and how we feel, we start wanting everything around us to support our health and growth. Clothing is part of that. It’s a daily, physical practice of well-being that many of us are only now relearning.

Why we like linen?

Today is the International Day of Clean Energy.
It’s a day to raise awareness and accelerate the transition toward lower emissions.

As a free being, I choose to give it my own perspective and actively take part in this intention.

For me, sustainability and conscious use of resources aren’t only about what I consume. They’re a way of living.
How we use energy on a micro level affects our health and well being, and on a macro level, it affects the planet.

As the creator of a clothing brand, I truly feel that the impact starts close to the body. With the materials I choose, where I choose to produce, and how I choose to do it.

At gentl:
• I carefully select certified organic fabrics from suppliers in Spain
• Everything is designed in house
• Production is local, with a small tailor house here in Mallorca
• Packaging is 100% recyclable cardboard

These choices may seem simple, but they shape the impact gentl leaves behind.

As a small, local brand, I choose to lead by example, working with care, transparency, and respect for the world I live in.
This is gentl's micro level affect and the "small" ripple grows bigger from here.

An experiment of beauty

I’m in the midst of an experiment. An experiment of bringing beauty into this world. Beauty from beyond this world. Beauty created from my heart, with love, with presence. Beauty that wanted to come through, and consciously, and sometimes less consciously, I let it come.

It is here now. Physically. It has a name. It has a shape. It even has an Instagram account. Of course, I’m talking about gentl.

I’m in the middle of a process, a process of creation. Creating something when I don’t know where it wants to go, even though my mind keeps pushing unclear directions and a lot of shoulds and should-have-beens.

But truly, I don’t know. Sometimes I feel what the next step is. It comes with excitement, and if I don’t take action on it, it occasionally comes again and again. Taking that next step brings fear and uncertainty, but this, again, is my analytical mind, focused, among other things, on money.

So this process feels endless. As I’m writing these words, I’m letting it unfold like a beautiful flower, and all I can do is admire its beauty.

My job, then, is to move aside as much as I can, while keeping my physical presence and my heart holding all the fears, analytical thoughts, and shoulds, so they can be sustained within me.

gentl is an entity of its own. I have a very clear vision of what it stands for, even if I don’t know where it’s going. I only know, at times, the next step.

It’s scary to walk without knowing the way. But as I once in a song,
“the way knows the way.”

Stay in your center.

What does that mean?

Most of the time, we’re used to moving outside of ourselves. We were never really taught how to keep our energy, or how to choose carefully where we place our attention. So we spend it unconsciously, working, socializing, running errands, scrolling on our phones.

All of these outward movements pull us away from our neutral self, our center, the place where we’re not doing anything, just being.

And that’s okay. We’re here to live this life.

Just notice when you’re too far from your center, from the place where you feel grounded, calm, and at ease. Go out, live, and then come back.

Getting to know this space within you makes you want to return to it more and more. And at some point, you’ll be able to move through the world without leaving your center.

That would be beautiful, wouldn’t it?

Falling for Linen

My journey transformed when I started gentl. One of the first items I created was underwear made from linen. Initially, I was unsure. The fabric felt a bit rough against my skin, and I wondered if I had made a mistake.

But as I wore it more, I felt it.. I fell in love. (later on the whole 2nd collection was made only with linen:) The linen softened and started to feel like its familiar with my body, a very comfy and light feeling on the skin.

I began to appreciate the wrinkles and variations, of the fabric, teaching me that it’s okay not to always appear perfect and neat and actually this what makes it unique, not pretending, real.

I think this is a beautiful approach to the way we see clothing and how we perceive our looks.

I’m truly grateful for this experience. I know gentl is part of my path in this lifetime, and I’m thankful for all the lessons it brings.
