Sew in the Sun Hi, I am Nadine and after 35 years of traveling the world, I have now settled in gorgeous Hacienda del Alamo in Murcia, Spain.

I am now offering 6 day sewing retreats where you will learn to make various items facing palm trees and a sparkling pool ! Children learn to sew using proper domestic grade sewing machine's, following a structured outcomes based system aimed at teaching them a skill that is fun to learn now but will become a life long skill to be used throughout their entire lives. There are four levels and compl

etion of each level earns a certificate. Lessons are 90 minutes once a week and each level should take between 6 months to a year to complete. Students learn the basics from handstitching to making their own clothing and craft items. On average students will be able to make basic clothing after 8 lessons.

Our Story

Children learn to sew using proper domestic grade sewing machine's (not children’s toy machines but proper entry level domestic machines just like the ones they’ll all want for Christmas). We follow a structured outcomes based system aimed at teaching them a skill that is fun to learn now and will become a life long skill used throughout their lives. There are three levels and completion of each level earns a certificate. Lessons are 90 minutes (but allow 2 hours for set up and tidy up) once a week and each level should take between 6 months to a year to complete. Students learn the basics from handstitching to making craft items and eventually their own clothing. On average students will be able to make basic clothing in a term (ie approximately 8 to 10 weeks or 15 hours of lessons).
