This calendar has been designed and manifactured with extreme care for details with the intention to be an Art object.
It includes a selection of original artworks inspired by Orientalist painting, reinterpreted and readapted to a contemporary aesthetic through the technique of digital collage.
The calendar celebrates the fascination for the exotic and different, representing a fertile common-ground for the curiosity and coexistence within different cultures. It is a praise both to different traditions (it highlights Christian and Islamic key dates) as to universal information of interest (the lunar cycles and astrological calendar).
All of these elements are mixed together with the intention to be first of all eye-pleasing and easy to read with a glance.
