There is a particular kind of silence that only exists at 2,500 metres above the world. 🌅
The air cools. The light turns gold. And somewhere between sitting down on ancient rock and watching the sun disappear behind the Sierra Nevada ridgeline — something inside you quietly resets.
You feel it in your skin first. Then in your chest. Then in that place words don’t quite reach.
This is Sierra Nevada at over 2,500m altitude — a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and home to the highest peak in the Iberian Peninsula.  And on Thursday and Friday evenings, we bring a small group of people up here to watch the day end in a way most travellers never experience.

This is the sound Sierra Nevada makes when it melts.
Snowpack from Spain’s highest peaks — Mulhacén at 3,479m — finds its way down through ancient rock, forest, and canyon until it becomes exactly this: wild, cold, alive.
Most people come to Granada and never hear it.

Nobody told us they’d be there. That’s the whole point. 🐐
Some of the best moments on our Sierra Nevada routes aren’t on any map. They don’t have names. They don’t have scheduled times. They just happen — and suddenly you’re standing completely still while a herd of mountain goats decides whether you’re interesting enough to acknowledge.
Spoiler: they did.
This is what the mirador routes above Granada feel like. Wild. Unhurried. Full of things no guidebook thought to mention.
The air is different up there. The silence has texture. And somewhere between the first climb and the moment you stop to catch your breath — you realise this is exactly where you were supposed to be.

Some connections don’t need explaining. They just keep showing up.
Today we had the joy of welcoming a group of 20 wonderful people from across the world — and what made this day special wasn’t just the trail, the wildflowers, or the Sierra Nevada sky above us.
