CocaCola produces 200000 plastic bottles every minute- just let that number sink in and imagine how much of this singleuseplastic ends up in the sea…
We find loads of caps and bottles at all of our beachcleanups.

Ocean styrofosm pollution

Altough styrofoam takeaway containers, cups and other single- use styrofoam products have been banned in many countries, styrofoam is still widely used and it still ends up in the sea.
For example, it is used in fisheries. Fish boxes help to keep the catch fresh and cold during fishing trips. However, on deck even mild wind can whip them overboard and especially their lids are a frequent find at our beachcleanups.
Once it is in the ocean it easly crumbles down into bite-size pieces.
By then it is often mistaken for food harming birds and marine life, enters the food chain and might end up on your plate if you like to eat fish.

GHOSTNET becomes BRACELET
-
EN|At our beach cleanups we always find a lot of fishing nets and lines.
We collect and clean them, cut out the undamaged parts and finally connect them to a clasp. The result is an unique bracelet and one piece of plastic less that floats in the ocean.
Every year 600.000 tons!!!! of fishing nets, pots, lines and traps used in commercial fishing are dumped and discarded in our oceans. This stuff known as „ghost gear“ takes at least 500 years to brake down. Some of the nets are bigger than a soccer field.
Countless marine creatures get entangled in these floating death traps, get injured, or can’ t free themselves anymore and die a horrible death.
One thing you could do to help, is to stop eating fish and supporting the industrial fishing industry that is exploiting and destroying our oceans
If you are an oceanlover you should really consider a fish- free- diet !!!

ES| En nuestras limpiezas de playa siempre encontramos un montón de redes y sedales de pesca.
Las recogemos y limpiamos, recortamos las partes no dañadas y finalmente las unimos a un cierre. El resultado es una pulsera única y un trozo de plástico menos que flota en el océano.

Cada año se vierten y desechan en nuestros océanos 600.000 toneladas!!!! de redes de pesca, nasas, sedales y trampas utilizadas en la pesca comercial. Este material, conocido como "equipo fantasma", tarda al menos 500 años en descomponerse. Algunas de las redes son más grandes que un campo de fútbol.
Innumerables criaturas marinas se enredan en estas trampas mortales flotantes, se lesionan o ya no pueden liberarse y mueren de forma horrible.
Una cosa que puedes hacer para ayudar, es dejar de comer pescado y apoyar a la industria pesquera industrial que está explotando y destruyendo nuestros océanos
Si eres un amante de los océanos, ¡deberías considerar una dieta libre de pescado!

Such a perfect day☀️☀️☀️

We clean beaches as often as possible.

Today we’ve enjoyed the first sunny day after weeks of bad weather and cleaned up approx 10kg of ocean plastic.

We love clean beaches and our dogs love the plastic hunt…
