THE ART OF TEXTILE | 16 DAYS IN INDIA 🇮🇳
A journey into the extraordinary textile heritage of India, created for those who want to go beyond seeing beautiful textiles and discover the people, knowledge and traditions behind them.
Over 16 days, we travel from Mumbai to Bhuj, Ahmedabad and Jaipur, meeting master artisans, designers and textile families whose skills have been passed down through generations.
We enter workshops and studios rarely seen by visitors.
We discover the extraordinary world of Kutch textiles, from Ajrakh block printing and Bandhani tie-dye to handwoven wool, Kala cotton and the intricate embroidery traditions of the region.
In Ahmedabad, we walk through the historic old city and its traditional markets, discovering the relationship between textiles, architecture, trade and Gujarati culture.
In Jaipur, we explore the world of block printing, visit remarkable designers and concept stores, and experience the extraordinary craftsmanship of Rajasthan.
There will be workshops, demonstrations and opportunities to work with the materials ourselves. We will print, weave, dye and create.
But the heart of the journey is the people.
Master artisans who have devoted their lives to their craft.
Families protecting techniques that might otherwise disappear.
Contemporary designers finding new ways to bring ancient knowledge into the present.
This is a journey for curious minds, textile lovers and anyone who wants to experience India through its hands, its materials and its makers.
A private, intimate exploration of India through textile.
16 days.
4 cities.
Countless stories woven into cloth.
