Ya he terminado mi último proyecto: realizar un estuche Waldorf a mano. Con telas escogidas con mucho mimo y con puntadas de principiante, he quedado muy satisfecha con el resultado sobretodo por el significado que este pedacito de tela tiene. Un estuche personalizado, un trocito mío que vuelve a la escuela pero de otra manera, más amable, más paciente, creciendo y perdonando a los demás pero sobretodo a una misma. Un estuche que implica todo un proyecto por delante, la primera pieza de muchas que iremos cosiendo junto a una comunidad fantástica. Feliz semana y feliz año!!

Hoy se celebra el día de San Nicolás en algunos países del norte. La tradición en Alemania y en Bélgica es hacer un pequeño regalo el 6 de Diciembre. Este año en casa estamos celebrando el adviento con libros, una idea que me pareció fantástica! Al peque lo que le gustan son las ruedas y todo lo que se mueva, así es que su regalo de San Nicolás hoy ha sido el libro: “First 100 trucks and things that go”. Además va con pegatinas para ayudar con la motricidad fina, win-win! Le ha encantado!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a very relaxed day at home. It’s been cold and wet outside for the first time in a while, so it felt right to stay indoors. We watched the ballet of the Nutcracker, sooo beautiful!! And as the ballerinas were coming out to perform their snowflakes dance, my little one asked who decided snowflakes were aaaaall female... 😅

I love the new inclusive era these kids are growing into, don’t you?

Great Nathan Hale!!! We are soooo loving this book! And it is so much fun!!! We were going this week over the author’s purpose in texts: persuade, inform or entertain. This is a winner: it informs AND entertains. Reminds me of the teaching methods of Charlotte Mason. I think the whole collection will make a beautiful Xmas present. 😊

Geography lesson, puzzle solving AND fun? Yes please!!! We are enjoying soooo much this magnetic puzzles. The colors and illustrations are great and it is so much fun to learn geography in such a way. I wish I had these when I was growing up!! 🔝🔝🔝

Feliç 9 d’Octubre!!!

Hoy tocaba repasar la historia de Rodrigo de Vivar o Sayyid, que acabó derivando en como lo conocemos ahora “El Cid”. Después de leerlo hemos tenido que buscar qué les ocurrió a las hijas del Cid: Elvira y Sol.

Habéis acudido a ver las mascletás de hoy? Cómo habéis pasado el día? Y esa mocadorà?

Moneybags is truly brilliant!! And just for the fun of it we play with real coins (much easier to differentiate than the plastic coins).

I can’t thank enough for praising it over and over again in her gameschooling posts. We got it second hand in £ and I am thinking of tweaking it a little bit so we can play it also with € and $. Yup, we got all sorts of little coins at home available - and at some point when all this pandemic craziness is somewhat behind us, I do hope to travel again between those three coin countries. Hopefully brexit doesn’t become an issue for that.

So, if you have any comments as to how do these tweaks to the game I’m all ears!!! Markers? Another sheet printed with $/€ on top? Maybe a clear sheet marked with $/€? Feel free to comment pleeeease 👇🏼
