Tidbit of the day: This west view of the in the Töölö district in Helsinki played a role in the development of the Vento brand. The steel monument, originally named Passio Musicae by its sculptor Eila Hiltunen in 1967, depicts perhaps some of the complicated facets and at times rugged character of our national composer Jean Sibelius (1865-1957) who lived the latter part of his life in my native town of Järvenpää. To many, it looks like bunch of organ pipes and to produce a sound, an organ pipe needs pressurized air (commonly known as wind or vento in Italian) to resonate each pipe at a specific pitch.
