The truth is that I got hooked on millinery the very second I started my studies couple of years ago. But what gave me the courage to start a millinery business after graduating here in Finland was the international millinery community.
I have met only wonderful people around the world, other milliners who are not only incredibly talented at what they do, but also open-hearted, supportive, and truly fantastic.
Last week, I had the most amazing experience at the in Chazelles-sur-Lyon, France. I learned how to sew using a vintage straw braid sewing machine (how beautiful they are!). It was an intensive, fun, and inspiring week in a beautiful hat museum, spent with my new friends and . If you ever have the opportunity to learn from , don’t hesitate, and if you get the chance to visit the hat museum, do it! I loved every second.
I’m already planning my trip to next year. Meeting and learning from other milliners is what makes this so special. I couldn’t go this year, but next year I’m not going to miss it.
Bisous to all fellow milliners! 💋
