C’est avec une profonde tristesse que nous avons appris le décès de Bill Markham, ancien président de RCPT USA.
Nous avons eu la chance d’échanger avec lui à plusieurs reprises cette année en Normandie et garderons précieusement le souvenir de son sourire, de sa gentillesse et de la chaleur de nos échanges.
Au-delà des frontières, la communauté des parachutistes est unie par une véritable fraternité. Aujourd’hui, toutes nos pensées vont à sa famille, à ses proches ainsi qu’à ses frères d’armes et amis de RCPT.

You used to say “RCPT is more than just a jump, it’s a family”.
Bill, you were much more than just a friend, you were an airborne veteran and mentor, an inspiration to us and to many others. Your arrival in our team and your dedication during your time as president of RCPT-USA were our greatest stroke of luck. True friends are rare, and we were lucky to have one. You brought integrity to our team, without ever seeking recognition. You leave behind not only a team that has flourished, but also a legacy of caring, professionalism, team spirit and quiet leadership.
Losing a friend like you leaves a great pain, but your character leaves us at the RCPT family a precious gift that we will keep forever.
