Modern Héritage – intérieurs vintage, situated in the heart of the Luberon, opened in 2008 under the name "Galerie de la Gare", the place was later sold to Mr Pierre Cardin. Starting Galerie de la Gare was like "coming home" for me, an immigrant swede ! After 30 years living & working in Paris, as a fashion journalist within the press & televison, I finally started to practice what I had always kn
own but never thought of as a knowledge : design & interiors ! My father was a design-freak who always ordered his furniture/interiors directly from the designers of his generation. When he passed away there where loads of 20th century treasures for us to share and this is how I got started. Never had I thought that the education & gift that he gave us, was going to become that important to all of us. Today we all work wirh design ! My stepmother, who brought me up, worked as a psycologist. She called my father a "design dictator" and thought me to listen & adapt - helpful when you do interior design ! My biological mother is from Finland and was a painter who went to the Beaux Arts academies in Helsinki, Stockholm and Paris in the late 40's, early 50's. My taste for art was formed by the "Art modern" - in the cubist veine that my father was collecting. In my own gallery I expose contemporary artists in various plastic genres. In this page I'm trying to show & share a little of my passions with you and at the gallery we will be attending for various kinds of consultances concerning your home & work interiors. And also to help you find the right artwork to go with it ! We do anything from art-consultance, homestaging, business branding to total make-over in a cosy, elegant and personal style adapted to your taste & needs and, with the help of an architect, we also find the right contractors and follow the work in progress from A-Z. A guaranty to make your dreams become reality. Modern Heritage
