This is my favorite fabric pattern. It's from an Ethan Allen 21-7908 contemporary mid-century reclining chair I bought almost 20 years ago after moving to LA. Now that I've showed you mine it's your turn.

Yesterday we drove to Spain and picked up a Yow (pronounced Yo or Joe depending) surf skateboard for the boy. It's a Spanish made board with a spring loaded, swiveling front truck that lets you ride it like a surf board.

The waves today were big and bodacious. I saw lifeguards go after two people who needed help. One of them was a young kid and the other was a member of my family. Both are fine. That's all I'm gonna say about that.

Today I saw (for the first time) a bunch of works by Jacques Joseph (James) Tissot. In a word it was exquisite. In a few more words the guy had an amazing knack for showing everyday people in fun, playful situations. Several of these show working guys doing their best with pretty ladies most of whole are all gussied up. Great stuff all around. Check out the dresses, the detail is incredible. @ Musée d'Orsay
