Hello Friday!!! 👋 It's finally the weekend!!⁣⁣
It's been a busy week making some Valentine's pretties and I can't wait to reveal it all next week. Watch out for the sneak peeks over the weekend on my stories! 👀 ⁣⁣
Hubby has been working crazy hours this week, which means that I haven't been able to answer all your messages as I had to deal with the boys on my own most of the week but I'll get there this weekend! ⁣⁣
Tomorrow, we will celebrate Elliott's 6th birthday, so hubby and I will be busy making a cake tonight. For the 4th year in a row, Elliott has requested a chocolate fudge cake with the skeleton of a T-Rex on it. We shape all the bones by hand with ready-to-roll icing and this takes forever to make! Anyone having an evening as exciting as ours? 🤷‍♀️😂⁣⁣

Hello! 👋 I am back in action!⁣⁣
I feel so refreshed after allowing myself an extra week to slowly get back into the swing of things. Focus last week was on enjoying making signs without stress or rush. Are you all rested and ready for another week too?⁣⁣
Today, I am hoping my wool order will finally arrive so that I can update my colour chart and I will then get on with some of your lovely orders.⁣⁣

So, who still knows what day of the week it is? Anyone else lose track of days during the festive period?⁣⁣⁣⁣
We've been chilling in our PJs most days since Christmas, we've played with all the new toys and we've definitely eaten way too much cheese and chocolate! The days all seem to roll into one! Not feeling one bit guilty about any of it though! It's been another really hard year so I'm really enjoying these in-between days till the last minute!⁣⁣⁣⁣
I wanted to thank you all for the orders between Christmas and whatever day today is! I have already started working on them and they'll be picked up the week after New Year. I still have a few of these 'boyhood' signs to make. They aren't listed on Etsy yet as I only showed them on stories in the run‐up to Christmas but some of you eagle-eyed ladies caught a glimpse of them and already placed an order for them. I love how it looks just above the peg rack so I'm hoping to make one for my boys too once I am finished trying to squeeze all the new bits and pieces into their room. Have you tackled the big Post Christmas clear out yet?⁣⁣⁣⁣

Hello Tuesday! ⁣⁣
Can I put in a request for sweater weather to last all year long? Fall is by far my favourite season ... it's that sweet spot between too hot and too cold and you can't beat the autumn colours, right? 🍂🍁⁣⁣
Speaking of autumnal colours, I have noticed that lately my orders have been for warmer, neutral tones. Perhaps you've all got the seasonal memo, but certainly, there has been a somewhat automatic switch to these colours. This beautiful photo is a perfect example of what I am talking about. Arthur's name sign is made with the 'Dark Teal' yarn and the crown and branches with the ever-popular 'Mustard' yarn. Love how that colour goes with everything! ⁣⁣
Keeping it short today as we are currently in the hospital for a consultation for hubby while our 12-year old son is at home, panicked to have to make his own lunch for the first time. Who would have thought microwaveable pizza pockets were so demanding? Left him with written instructions so what could go wrong, really? 🤞 What are you dealing with right now? How is your Tuesday going?⁣⁣

I'm kinda playing catch up on this whole Tiktok thing but you'll be glad to know MonkeyMooAndBoo is finally on Tiktok and raring to go! I don't show my signs up close enough, so hopefully this will give you a better idea of the attention of detail and precision I put into each and every sign I make.

Please tell me it gets easier to make reels or Tiktok videos! Took me forever to film this short clip and then edit it! I do have to say though that I am glad you can filter out the background noise on videos or you'd be able to hear my boys tearing chunks out of one another while I filmed this! 🙈

Hi guys! 👋 Long time no see! 👀⁣⁣

I am afraid I have lost my way with Instagram lately! Not because I've lost my love or desire to create but more life challenges, work and family priorities have taken over!⁣⁣
Social media isn't something I am particularly good with and it is the first thing I usually sacrifice! But then, I tend to get this build up of anxiety around using it again. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
All this to say the juggle is real and modern day motherhood is tough. I try to split myself between mum, wife and business owner but my days are more about trying to keep all the kids alive, stopping them from eating everything in the house, constantly wondering where all the masks are, using antibacterial wipes as a substitute for actual cleaning, arguing with smaller versions of myself on a daily basis, answering work emails, making endless lists, trying to steer the kids towards watching something that doesn't make me want to jump out the window or set the TV on fire, getting up in the middle of the night to work on orders because it is the only quiet time I can have, constantly wondering how to keep the kids from killing one another, locking myself in the bathroom to enjoy a snack and desperately trying to hang on to my sanity!⁣⁣

Motherhood is a blessing no doubt, but we all know how it can take it out of us, physically and mentally! ⁣⁣
How do you manage your days working from home and being with the kids?⁣⁣⁣

One of the good thing that came out of this IG break is that I have hundreds of beautiful photos to show you! Starting with this beautiful name sign and dino prints made in the colours 'mustard' and 'army green'. ⁣⁣

I realize IG is proving to be a tough master at the moment for everyone and I am going to be in the bad books for not posting in so long, but small businesses need your support to survive. It doesn't necessarily need to be a sale but engaging on a post helps us being seen by others. Without that we simply won't survive. I'm sure some of you have noticed that I kind of dropped off the face of the Earth as far as social media goes ! Let’s be honest, it has been a crazy year of uncertainty for us all and it has made us appreciate the people in our life more than ever. So, needless to say my priorities have shifted a bit and I've been focusing my thoughts, time, and energy on my loved ones. But behind those quiet social media profiles, really I've been busier than ever to get all your orders ready !⁣

💥 Boom! Friday already! Time is flying by so fast and I have no idea where it went! I have been on something of a social media hiatus to keep my head down to the grind and get through the massive amount of orders. I couldn’t thank you all enough for your likes, tags, shares, comments and most of all patience while I try to sort out a more time-efficient way to work on orders.⁣

👻🎃 As the days pass, more and more restrictions are kicking in. It seems this is the case all over. 2020 is a year like none other, and this Halloween, will sadly be, a quiet one for us and many others. The joy of trick or treating, dressing up and going around with lanterns, seems not just unlikely, but impossible this year. However, my love, and many other people’s love, of this fun celebration, cannot be destroyed because of Covid 19. So, in a positive move, I am making Halloween signs. I will not only be selling them, but will be decorating my home with them. My boys will be dressing up, and we will play games, have fun, and celebrate in our own special way.
