SPOTLIGHT SERIES 🔦
Born in Herat, Afghanistan 🇦🇫, Nadia and her family fled to Denmark as refugees when she was just 11.
Nadia only began playing football at 12, and started her career at Team Viborg 🇩🇰
Playing in the NWSL would be the highlight of most careers, but Nadia then went on the play for not 1, not 2, but 3 super clubs with stints at Man City, PSG, and AC Milan where she currently plays.
As if this playing career wasn't impressive enough, Nadia also graduated from Medical School in 2022 with the intention of becoming a surgeon after her playing days are done. She speaks EIGHT languages, was the first Danish female footballer to get a Nike endorsement, and was listed at number 20 in Forbes 'Most Powerful Women in International Sport' list 👏
'Trailblazer' doesn't really cut it for Nadia who's burnt her own path.
