“La terre est bleue comme une orange.” 🍊
The Earth Is Blue Like an Orange
Inspired by Paul Éluard’s famous line, this workshop led by Émile Kirsch [ ] invited children to create prints using oranges as stamps.
By pressing the skin, the flesh, and even the peel of oranges onto paper and canvas, participants discovered unexpected forms: suns, irises, planets, landscapes, and traces of imagined worlds.
Using shades of blue and orange, each print became both a fruit and something beyond it -
a reminder that creativity often begins when we look at ordinary things differently.
Created in collaboration with Olivio & Co, the workshop celebrated curiosity, perception, and the joy of seeing the world through a different lens. Just as a pair of sunglasses can transform our view, these simple orange prints invited children to reimagine the familiar and discover wonder in everyday forms.
