Bibi Bachtadze

Bibi Bachtadze CONCEPT COUTURE - make your closet the future you want to live in BIBI BACHTADZE was established 2010 and has its origins an custom couture.

Brand’s specialties were and still evening gowns, wedding and cocktail dresses. BIBI BACHTADZE unites silhouette sophistication with versatility, s*x appeal with elegance – playfulness paired with casualness. BIBI BACHTADZE dresses are classic, timeless yet essentially modern and almost nostalgic, sometimes risqué while remaining elegant at the same time. Taking full advantage of aesthetics is in

no way contrary to the wearability and functionality of BIBI BACHTAZDE creations, which distinguish themselves through comfort and simplicity. In 2019 after an intensive reflection about the fashion industry and own personality a new sustainable strategy and vision was born:

CONCEPT COUTURE - sustainability through modularity and transformation became a new USP. The idea of the transformation of the look - from evening to party, from winter to summer, from business to cocktail, evolved from the close bonds with their clientele, and their desire to be able to wear the beloved dresses more then just once. Our modular concept allows our clients to create an individual look, which fits her body, corresponds to her current wishes and remains variable for future needs. It`s a completely opposite strategy of the market rules – no fast fashion, no disposable products.

Every page begins with a conversation.
Every story with a person.
Every image with a moment that deserved to be seen.

Inside ART OF MAGAZINE Vol. 20, photographers, artists, designers, chefs and visionaries share not only their work, but the ideas, values and craftsmanship behind it.

This issue is an invitation to slow down.
To look closer.
To rediscover a quieter kind of luxury.

I feel as though I am releasing the dress from the lace. Not inventing it. Revealing it.

And perhaps… a human being spends an entire lifetime doing exactly the same with their own identity.

We receive countless fragments. From our parents. From culture. From love. From pain. From books. From journeys. From mistakes.
But maturity begins when we stop carrying those fragments as a random collection.
And instead begin to ask:

“What pattern do I want to create from all of this?”

To me, that is what creativity truly is.

Not only in fashion.

But in life.

Sometimes I feel this is almost a hermeneutic process—not working with a finished whole, but with individual units of meaning from which an entirely new whole emerges.

The lace does not determine the body. Nor does the body determine the lace. Vision creates their encounter. I see a line that does not yet exist. I see a hidden possibility of form. And then I bring it into being. Perhaps that is why I have always been so deeply drawn to transformation. Because I have never perceived a material as something fixed or final. My work is the act of revealing the form that is already waiting within it.

It reminds me of what Michelangelo once said—that a sculptor does not create the statue but releases it from the marble.

I never use lace as a finished surface.

I take it apart.

And then I compose it again.

It is a rather unusual creative process.
Most designers work with the fabric itself.
I work with the meaningful elements within the fabric.

A flower that once existed on its own…
suddenly becomes the continuation of a branch. A leaf that belonged to one ornament… naturally continues another.
You search… for that one fragment that suddenly comes alive in exactly this moment.

And then someone looks at the dress and thinks: “What a beautifully unified pattern.”
When, in reality, it was born from countless separate stories.

A B O U T L A C E & L I F E

Working with lace is, for me, a very particular kind of joy. The joy of witnessing a connection come into being.

It is the kind of joy a scientist experiences when two theories suddenly fit together.

A composer feels it when two independent themes unexpectedly become music.

An architect knows it when a structure suddenly reveals its harmony.

It is the joy of recognizing a hidden order.

The ability to perceive connections is more than seeing beauty. More than creating form.
It is noticing how things that once seemed distant from one another suddenly reveal themselves as parts of the same pattern.
