A corner of my world.

What I love is that moment when something just clicks.
Between two prints.
Between a kimono and a tapestry.
Between two people.
That little spark is probably what inspires me most — in textiles, and in life.

Un coin de mon univers.

Ce que j’aime, c’est ce moment où quelque chose se met simplement à fonctionner.
Entre deux imprimés.
Entre un kimono et une tapisserie.
Entre deux personnes.
Cette petite étincelle est sans doute ce qui m’inspire le plus — dans les textiles comme dans la vie.

This kimono carries the work of several women.

First, the woman who once wore the vintage sari. Then the embroiderer, who transformed the fabric through kantha stitches, choosing the colours of the threads and the rhythm of the lines. Then me, assembling the different pieces into a new patchwork.

And finally, the woman who will wear the kimono.

It is not only a kimono you are wearing. You are also wearing the stories of the women who came before you.


Ce kimono porte le travail de plusieurs femmes.

D’abord, celle qui a porté autrefois le sari vintage. Puis la brodeuse, qui a transformé le tissu par ses points de kantha, en choisissant les couleurs des fils et le rythme des lignes. Puis moi, qui assemble les différents morceaux pour créer un nouveau patchwork.

Et enfin, celle qui portera le kimono.

Ce n’est pas seulement un kimono que vous portez. Vous portez aussi les histoires des femmes qui vous ont précédée.

Woven or knitted, it is the first material, the starting point from which texture, colour and shape emerge.


Chaque vêtement commence par un fil.

Tissé ou tricoté, il est la matière première, le point de départ d’où naissent la texture, la couleur et la forme.

The floral print has a softly sun-faded feel, while the trousers have a modern, relaxed silhouette. The hem can be cinched with a tab or left loose for a wider shape.

Paired with the shirt’s watercolor-like stripes, full of yellow and light, it feels like wrapping yourself in sunshine.

Both pieces are made from an exceptionally fine cotton that feels almost like silk.


Le motif fleuri a des couleurs légèrement passées au soleil, tandis que le pantalon présente une forme ample et très actuelle. Le bas peut être resserré grâce à une patte, ou laissé large.

Associé aux rayures aquarellées de la chemise, pleines de jaune et de lumière, c’est comme enfiler un peu de soleil.

Les deux pièces sont réalisées dans un coton d’une telle finesse qu’on le croirait presque en soie.

More than two kimonos in one.

Kantha is a traditional South Asian embroidery technique, particularly from India. In villages, women layer and stitch together old silk saris by hand using a simple running stitch, giving these precious textiles a new life.

Each WOWO kimono is made from two, sometimes three, vintage kanthas. I carefully select every textile so that the patterns, colours and rhythms respond to one another. Then comes the slow work of composing the patchwork. The proportions of each section are adjusted with precision until both sides feel balanced, each one becoming a garment in its own right.

No two kimonos are ever the same.

Small signs of wear or subtle variations in colour are part of their story, shaped by time, the material and the handwork.

Bien plus que deux kimonos en un.

Chaque kimono WOWO est composé de deux, parfois trois kanthas anciens, réalisés à partir de saris de soie superposés et rebrodés à la main.

Je sélectionne chaque tissu pour que les motifs, les couleurs et les rythmes se répondent, puis je compose le patchwork afin de trouver le juste équilibre entre le recto et le verso.

Chaque pièce est unique. Les légères traces d’usure et variations de teintes font partie de son histoire.
