In July 1992, French astronaut Michel Tognini docked with the Mir space station aboard Soyuz TM-15, becoming the third Frenchman in space.
He spent fourteen days in orbit running microgravity experiments as part of the Franco-Russian cooperation between CNES and the Russian space agency.
Yema, founded in Besançon in 1948 and long tied to the French space program (the brand equipped Jean-Loup Chrétien on the first French manned flight in 1982), created this chronograph to commemorate the mission: ПРОЕКТ АНТАРЕС (Project Antares) is engraved on the bezel, named after the brightest star in Scorpius.

A Poljot mechanical watch produced by the First Moscow Watch Factory to celebrate the completion of the BAM, the Baikal-Amur Mainline.

The dial carries the БАМ inscription, the year 1984, and the words ГОД ЗОЛОТОГО ЗВЕНА, “Year of the Golden Link”.

On 29 September 1984, construction brigades coming from east and west met at Balbukhta, and on 1 October the Golden Link ceremony at Kuanda station sealed the junction of the two sections, closing a decade of work across permafrost, mountain ranges and taiga on this 4,324 km line running north of the Trans-Siberian.

Chrome-plated brass case, 37 mm, serial number 143616 engraved on the caseback.

Hand-wound mechanical movement, leather strap.

Serviced by our master watchmaker in June 2026. The mechanism has been overhauled, the crystal polished, and the case, hands and dial cleaned. 6-month guarantee.

Limited-edition Raketa “Tselina” watch, number 073 of 200 pieces. It features a round, 40mm-diameter case manufactured in Besançon (France) and is powered by a Raketa movement imported from the USSR. Brown leather strap. The graphic dial, directly inspired by Soviet Constructivist art, displays a pattern of colorful stripes.
The inscription “ЦЕЛИНА” (Tselina—“Virgin Lands”) appears in white letters on a black background across the dial.
At the bottom is the signature “РАКЕТА СДЕЛАНО В СССР” (Raketa Made in USSR).
The case back bears the engravings “ОГРАНИЧЕННАЯ СЕРИЯ” (Limited Series), the reference number S 120050, and the individual number 073/200.
The name “Tselina” refers to the Virgin Lands campaign launched by Nikita Khrushchev in 1954—a massive agricultural program aimed at cultivating the steppes of Kazakhstan and Western Siberia.
The dial pays tribute to this pivotal moment in Soviet history with a design reminiscent of the era’s propaganda posters.
A rare Franco-Soviet timepiece, combining a case made in the French watchmaking capital with a movement from the Raketa factory in Petrodvorets (Saint Petersburg).

Three of them at the same time.
These are the hammer and sickle Raketa from the Petrodvorets factory in Saint Petersburg.

Since our post on this model went around the world people kept sending us theirs, and we kept saying no most of the time, maybe 1 out of 3 is untouched and the rest are repainted or fitted with the wrong hands. If you’re hunting for one yourself, look for genuine brass hands and not painted with yellow paint, and wheat ears that stay well separated from each other.

Red dial, golden wheat ears at the bottom, hour and minute hands shaped as a hammer and a sickle in brass, gold plated case, 34 mm diameter mm, equipped with a 2609 hand wound mechanism.

A 1984 Soviet bronze sculpture depicting a cosmonaut performing an extravehicular activity while orbiting the Earth. A chrome-plated brass rocket soars at the top of the composition, carried by a spiraling trajectory adorned with gilded motifs.
The cosmonaut, clad in a detailed spacesuit, floats amidst a field of stars with his life-support gear, capturing the grandeur of the Soviet space program. The piece bears a dedication engraved on the Bakelite base: “To the dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, on his 50th birthday, from the staff of the Elektropribor factory, Kharkov.”
Founded in the 1950s, the Elektropribor factory in Kharkov was a flagship of the Soviet electronics and instrumentation industry, manufacturing precision equipment for the military and the space sector.
This commemorative sculpture reflects Soviet industrial pride and the fascination with space exploration, a central theme of USSR propaganda and national identity since Gagarin’s 1961 flight.

Commemorative badge marking the centenary of the birth of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin (1870–1970), crafted from .875 fine sterling silver and accented with bright red enamel.
It features a Constructivist design: a stylized silhouette of Lenin set against a map of the USSR filled with translucent red enamel.
The reverse bears two Soviet hallmarks stamped into the metal: the .875 fineness mark accompanied by the assay mark (featuring a profile head) and a maker’s mark.
Lenin’s 1970 centenary sparked a massive commemorative campaign across the Soviet Union. Thousands of items—ranging from medals and stamps to badges—were produced to mark the occasion. Pieces made from .875 silver—the Soviet standard corresponding to 87.5% pure silver—are among the most sought-after by collectors due to their high-quality craftsmanship and the quality of the material. Soviet Navy (VMF, Navy) regulatory belt, black leather lined with natural brown leather.

The solid brass buckle bears the Soviet naval emblem, a five-pointed star struck by the sickle and hammer, flanked by a stylized navy anchor. This type of belt equipped officers of the Soviet Navy throughout the Cold War.
The hook fastening system allows for quick adjustment, a typical design of Soviet military equipment designed for robustness and functionality.
The length of 95 cm is adjustable to fit different morphologies. The brass of the buckle has a beautiful golden patina, testimony to real use within the fleet.

The State Emblem of the USSR, adopted in its main lines in 1923: the globe topped by the hammer and sickle, framed by wheat ears and crowned with the red star, with the motto « Workers of the world, unite! » repeated in the languages of the Soviet republics.
It appeared on official documents, buildings and Soviet currency.
This piece was brought back from Leningrad by an Italian tourist in 1991.

Orange cotton tee with the full emblem screen-printed on the front, the CCCP inscription below. The label indicates a size corresponding to L/XL.

Good vintage condition, with the patina and light marks of wear you would expect from the period.

Orange cotton T-shirt featuring the inscription « Я-АГЕНТ КГБ » (« I am a KGB agent » in Cyrillic script), accompanied by a patch depicting a red star and a saber.
A design echoing the sword-and-shield emblem of the Soviet security services.
This type of novelty T-shirt was among the souvenirs sold to tourists during the late Soviet era, it was brought by to Italy by a tourist who visited Leningrad in 1990.
With the advent of the Perestroika, a market for items playfully exploiting KGB imagery emerged in Leningrad.

A presentation gift given to a Soviet officer in 1982, this prestigious piece combines chrome-plated brass, bronze, bakelite, and red plexiglas.
This decorative composition celebrates the fundamental symbols of the Soviet Union with remarkable craftsmanship.
At its center, a relief profile of Lenin, cast in bronze or chrome-plated brass, stands out against a translucent red Plexiglas flag with deep reflections.
The flag features a five-pointed gold star adorned with the hammer and sickle at its center, framed by chased bronze laurel leaves.

A stylized chrome missile rises from the center of the composition, echoing the vocation of the military engineering school from which the piece originated.
The bakelite and plexiglass base bears a Cyrillic inscription engraved in gold lettering, a commemorative dedication to the officer.

KhVKIOu refers to the Kharkiv Higher Military Engineering School.
The piece was therefore presented by the first-year officer cadets to their faculty head for his birthday. This type of official gift was given during award ceremonies or birthday celebrations within the Soviet military.
