REPARTO presents NICHE & CHIC - SS27, a collection inspired by good taste, style and elegance through a tacky, decadent, ironic and countercultural lens.
At the end of the 19th century, the Bohemian aesthetic became established in Paris, considered by many to be one of the precursors of underground culture. At the same time, in the same city, the word chic became popular as a synonym for elegance, taste and sophistication.
This contradiction becomes the starting point of the collection: Paris as a place where disciplines, aesthetics and ways of understanding culture meet and influence one another.
NICHE & CHIC is a pastiche of: nostalgia, desire, adolescence, good and bad taste. A collection made in Madrid, with Paris in mind, where chic dreams come true.
