A day in the life of designer Alice Le Ster | Designer maille & cuir Paris (IFM Paris MA Knitwear 2024), between her studio and her residency at Tremplin Mode & Textile ☀️

I usually start my day with a yoga practice. It helps me take some time for myself before getting carried away by the rhythm of the day.

Then I head to the studio to demould the front of my leather jacket, after letting it dry for a day or two.

I also put together an ASMR reel for Instagram, documenting the making of the jacket before it’s released for sale. Because apparently making things is only half the job — the other half is making content about making things.

I love matching, vibrant colours. If my outfit, my lunch and whatever is sitting on my desk happen to match, I’m having a good day.

I’m quite clumsy in everyday life, unless I’m working on a project, when I become very focused and precise. So I often end up spilling my drink ..

Then I head to Tremplin Mode et Textile in the 13th arrondissement for the start of my young designer residency. They take some pictures of me for their communication and social media.

I finish the day crocheting a chain for a young designer competition. It’s also something I find really relaxing — a nice way to slow down after a busy day.

Then a good dinner, hopefully an early night.

Designer Ju Bao Ju (IFM Paris MA Fashion Design 2023) gives us a glimpse into his creative journey

“Spring 2025, I was still in Milan. The residence permit had been pending for months; most days felt the same. But today I’d attend Design Week with friends.

Upon waking, I check my embroidery first. A clear mind and rested eyes are essential.

BAM Park is my favorite place in Milan. Daises, cornflowers, buttercups, and poppies are exquisite. Solar power is essential to me, so I come here everyday.

It was Milan Design week. We kept moving from one venue to another, queuing along the way. Open showrooms were everywhere in the city center, and expressive works were always to be found.

Back home, I turned on my favorite horror story radio, and resume my embroidery. Good night ;)”
