Not only are we explorers of the world, we’re dreamers of design too. We work from our home studio to create wallets made from our two favourite natural materials, leather and wood. The idea for project all began while backpacking through Australia in our camper van. It literally came to Markus one night in a dream. The very next morning, we began create what is now known as Treibholz Designs. It
started out rough since we were constantly on the move and very limited to space. Our van served as a bedroom, kitchen and a workshop. But travelling was also an advantage as it was a constant source of inspiration. From the oceans we surfed to the forests we wandered, everything had its beauty. Since then, our prototype of vinyl scraps and a grinded plywood slab has evolved into something much more. With plans of local charity drives, Q & A meetings with other local entrepreneurs and dreams of a shared pop up store, we plan to bring more to the local community than just quality handmade products. Our latest mantra: every journey begins with a first step.
