Those first little steps are a BIG deal. 👣💙

Whether they’re still cruising around the furniture, taking a few wobbly steps or officially on the move, choosing the right footwear at this stage is so important.

Our selection will give them the flexibility, comfort and support they need while they find their feet (quite literally 😂).

And because no two children develop at exactly the same pace, our team will make sure they’re properly fitted and in the right shoe for their stage not just their age.

Checking in on the team after what has officially been our busiest time of the year! 👀

Less than ONE WEEK until back to school… 👀

Still need to sort the school shoes? Don’t panic, we’ve got you! 🙌

Street Stompers is closed today, but we’re back open tomorrow and ready for the final back-to-school rush.

And remember you do NOT need an appointment to visit us. 💗

Appointments are brilliant if you’d like a dedicated time slot, but if you’ve checked online and there’s nothing available that works for you, just pop in!

During our busiest back-to-school period, we have two fitters dedicated specifically to walk-ins, so there’s no need to worry if you haven’t managed to book.

From P1 right through to Academy, we’re here to make getting those school shoes ticked off the list as easy as possible. 👟✨

🎒 NOW’S THE TIME! 👟

Before the new term begins, get those school shoes on — whether they’re brand new or last term’s faithfuls — and start getting feet reacquainted with them.

At Street Stompers, blisters are our arch enemy 😆 and a little preparation now can make a BIG difference when those first full school days arrive.

School shoes are very different from the soft trainers, and sandals feet have been living in all summer. They’re more structured, robust and often leather-lined, so they can take a little time to soften and mould to the foot.

✨ Our top tips for a rub-free return to school:

🏠 Wear them around the house as much as possible before term starts. This helps the shoes soften and mould to the foot before they’re faced with a full day at school.

🧦 Wear school socks — not just any old socks! This gives you a much better idea of how the shoes will feel when they’re actually being worn for school.

👟 Take trainers for the journey during the first week if possible. A long walk to and from school in new shoes can be a lot for feet that have been in holiday mode!

🩹 If a blister does appear, don’t panic! A good quality blister plaster such as Compeed can help protect it while it heals. And whatever you do, don’t be tempted to pull it off — let it come away naturally once the blister has healed.

A few minutes of wearing them in now could save a whole lot of “MY FEET HURT!” when school starts! 😂

Get those shoes on… it’s time to get school-ready! 🎒

We’re open tomorrow, and whether you prefer to book an appointment or simply pop in while you’re out shopping or running errands, we’d love to see you.
