Urgh its so hot today! 🫠 I find it hard to crochet when its this warm as I get squeaky hook syndrome! Anyone else have the same?

I'm currently working on my secret pattern for the The Crochet Sanctuary Ltd ™️ for October Eek! I can't wait!

So today I thought I'd throwback my ice-cream and lollipops bunting I designed for Your Crochet and Knitting magazine back in July 2023.

I'm designing a movie night blanket. These are my first few squares.
I'm using Stylecraft special DK with a 4mm hook. 🎬
My main colour scheme is claret, cream, silver &midnight. Its a change from pastel rainbows!

I am a total film addict! I will literally watch anything apart from romcoms!

I saw .crochet.creations story and so many others saying the same thing yesterday about the Instagram algorithm. What is going on?? I'm so sick of seeing nothing but adverts on my feed. I'm not seeing posts from other crocheters that I follow, its extremely frustrating!
In return it does make me wonder at times whats the point? Is anyone actually seeing any of my posts?
At the moment I haven't shared anything for a while as I've been working on two secret projects...more on that to come! And rebuilding my website. I do worry that I will also be dropping off my followers radar!
Anyway I will keep plodding on! 😄

Good news though my website is now back up and running...the new link is in my bio.

I've set up a crochet group in called the . Its become such a lovely group of all ages from 13yrs up. Its a real mix of crafts! I love the fact that others want to learn to crochet. This week a few of us started to make granny square chickens. I love how cute they are!
If you live near Abergavenny and would like to come along we meet in the Portico Lounge every Thursday 5.30 -7pm. All crafters are welcome or just come along for a friendly chat! 😁🧶
