A little behind the scenes of the bespoke side unit we’re building for this VW T5. 🔨🚐

While many of our conversions use precision CNC-cut furniture, this particular build called for a completely bespoke unit. Every panel has been measured, cut, routed, edged and assembled by hand to create a perfect fit for this van.

It’s great to show that, whether it’s CNC-cut furniture or a fully custom build, we have the skills and experience to turn an idea into reality.

VW T5.1 LWB Camper Renovation – Progress Update

A little update on the long wheelbase T5.1 project I’ve been working on.

The van came to me with an existing camper conversion that, while functional, had definitely seen better days. The original furniture was built mainly from chipboard, the carpeting and lining were tired, and there were a few areas that needed bringing up to a much higher standard.

The first step was stripping everything back to assess exactly what I had to work with. Out came the old units, flooring, wall panels and headlining, leaving a bare shell ready for a fresh start.

From there I:

✅ Removed the old furniture and interior trim

✅ Stripped the van back for inspection and preparation

✅ Added insulation throughout

✅ Re-lined the rear of the van in black carpet

✅ Re-trimmed the cab headliner

✅ Refreshed the interior ready for a completely new layout

The difference already is night and day. The black carpet lining has modernised the interior massively and gives the van a much cleaner, factory-style finish.

I’m currently building a completely bespoke furniture unit to replace the original setup. Unlike the old chipboard furniture, the new unit is being built from proper furniture board for improved durability, strength and finish. Everything is being designed specifically for this van rather than trying to work around the previous layout.

Still plenty left to do, but it’s great to see it going from a tired conversion to something that will be much more practical and professionally finished.

More updates to come as the furniture build progresses.

Busy times in the workshop with four great vans at different stages of their camper journeys! 🚐🔧

⭐ VW Caddy Camper – Fully converted and now up for sale at £16,450 ono. Ready to hit the road and start its next adventure.

⭐ Renault Trafic Camper – Recently converted and available now for £16,950 ono. A fantastic setup and ready for its new owner.

🛠️ VW Transporter (White) – Currently in with us for a diesel heater installation, waste outlet pipe fitting, and a pop-top bed installation.

⚡ Next up: Black LWB T5.1 – This one’s in for a major transformation, including:
• Full interior rip-out
• Re-lining of the cab and living area
• Complete off-grid electrical system

Finished in a sleek grey and black colour scheme with diamond-stitched upholstery, this conversion combines comfort, practicality and modern styling in one compact package.

We’re really pleased with how this build has turned out from start to finish, and it’s always rewarding to see an empty van transformed into something that can create years of memories for its owner.

🚐 Renault Trafic Camper Conversion – Build Update 🚐

Another camper conversion well underway!

We've taken this Renault Trafic from a standard panel van and made some serious progress so far:

✅ Side windows installed
✅ Fully insulated throughout
✅ Carpet lined for a clean, professional finish
✅ Roof lights fitted
✅ Hard-wearing carpet flooring installed
✅ Side unit installed

The transformation is really starting to take shape, and there's still plenty more to come.

Next up we'll be installing the Rock & Roll bed, completing the electrical system, and adding the finishing touches to bring this build to life.

It's always satisfying seeing a van go from an empty shell to a fully functional camper, and we can't wait to show you the finished result.

SWB Caddy Transformation Complete 🔥

This SWB Caddy came in needing a full refresh and we completely transformed the rear setup 👌

✔️ Old worn carpet removed
✔️ Full re-carpet in fresh black lining
✔️ Added insulation & thermal liner throughout
✔️ New hard-wearing Altro black sparkle flooring fitted
✔️ Roof LED spot lights installed
✔️ Upgraded speaker system fitted
✔️ New head unit with Apple CarPlay installed

The gloss black sparkle floor really finishes the van off and gives it a clean, modern look while being tough enough for everyday use 💪

Massive difference from how it arrived to the finished result 🚐🔥

Renault Master MWB Extra High Top – Lining, Insulation & Window Package 🪟 ✂️

We’ve just completed Stage 1 on this Renault Master MWB extra high-top conversion.

This one definitely wasn’t the easiest van we’ve worked on due to the shape of the fibreglass roof, but after plenty of shaping and trimming we got everything finished exactly how we wanted — and we’re really happy with how it turned out.

Work carried out included:

* Anthracite carpet lining throughout
* Full insulation and thermal liner installed to all recesses and roof areas
* Existing roof lights reused temporarily for interior lighting
* EHU installation with consumer unit and single socket
* x2 opening side windows fitted
* x1 universal rectangle window fitted

This is only Stage 1 of the build so far. The customer will be returning soon for a bed setup and additional electrical work to continue the conversion.🛠️✨
