A little update as to why my page has been quite these last few months!
On 4th April, at 27 weeks pregnant I was rushed into hospital in an ambulance with severe chest pains and struggling to breath, scans had previously shown that my baby hadnt grown much since 24 weeks and that my placenta was shutting down.
Tests and scans showed that my baby was struggling and in distress and my chest pains were getting worse, I ended up having an emergency c-section at 28 weeks. I gave birth to our teeny tiny daughter Ayda Ilsa who weighed 620g (1lb 5oz)!
She turned 3 months old yesterday and now weighs 5lb 5oz (13 weeks and 1 day old) but going by her due date she should only be 1 week old!
We're still stuck in NICU (neonatal intensive care) and have been told it could be another 4 weeks until she comes home.
She has chronic lung disease so will be coming home on oxygen (we dont know how long this will be for, could be months, could be years).
Giving birth to a baby (let alone a micro preemie!) during lockdown in a global pandemic has been no mean feat!
My 4 year old has never met his baby sister because the hospital is now super strict about who is allowed in, me and my husband arent even allowed to go in and see our daughter together. The more lockdown is eased and people start to move around the country, go on holiday and too the pubs, the tighter the rules at the hospital get and quite frankly its killing us.
We cant wait to finally get her home and settle down as a proper family!
My shop will be closed for some time yet, being in our 4th month in nicu, we've got a lot of catching up to do when she gets home, I dont ever want to put her down!

I may have given little hints here and there but I haven't actually announced it on here!
I'm actually very close to being 7 months pregnant!
However I'm very high risk and currently I'm having to have 2-3 hospital appointments a week at a hospital that's 1½ hours away from home, not ideal when all I want to do is lock away my little family from the world right now.
I'm very conscious about trying to have as little contact as possible with anything to try and keep as safe as possible so I have made the decision to put my shop on early 'maternity leave' so I can focus on growing this little one and keeping my little family safe.

My husband has taken our 3 year old for a quiet play by the secluded river by our house which gives me a bit of 'me time'!
And how do I spend it? By sewing of course! Very much enjoying my lovely new machine!
I'm adding some subtle very random swirls top stitching to my patchwork quilt, it's very therapeutic work and I'm loving how the quilt is turning out so far!

Who's filling there time crafting?
I've got 17 of these disney canvas tote bags that I've collected over the years. I didn't need them, I'm just a sucker for anything Disney 😊

I've pre-washed, dried, ironed and cut them up along with some fabric for the boarders ready to sew up into some kind of throw or quilt!

I have no idea what I'll do with it when its finished but I wanted a self isolation/ social distancing project that I could work on over several days or even weeks that has no specific completion date that I can work on in my spare time (I have an almost 4 year old so not sure how much time I'll have to myself though 🙈)

Feeling incredibly lucky and happy! My wonderful husband has let me have my birthday/ mothers day present early 😍

It's taken me several hours to brave the first stitch, I actually thoroughly read through the manual (for a change) to make sure I'd be off too a good start!

This new machine is amazing! 😍 I actually can't wait to start all of the projects on my to do list now that it will be 100x easier!

My lovely husband has let me visit a sewing machine shop to try out all the machines!
My old brother machine has unfortunately struggled for quite a while- its amazing trying out these new machines now that the technology has advanced!

Its Rainbow week! A special week during March where we celebrate all the little ones born after a loss during pregnancy.
Our Noah is our beautiful rainbow, born 2 years after the stillbirth of his big sister.

Bit of a late post as I've just been informed that some fabric I was after has been released 😍
This is a type of knit effect Jersey that would make perfect jumpers and joggers!
I've been told by my 3 year old son that he wants pants, socks, trousers, jumpers and a pillow in this fabric (🙈) so I'll be putting in an order this weekend.
Would anyone else be interested in this fabric? Xx
