All Test Valley Textiles Customers Past and Present

Some of you may be aware that I have recently had a health scare with suspected Mouth cancer. I am still waiting the results of a few more tests but in the words of the consultant “I am not worried as the results we have in show no signs of cancer”

During this stressful time, I have carried on working, albeit at a greatly reduced capacity with making deadlines more and more stressful.

To that end I have decided I need to slow down, concentrate on things dear to my heart and for once put myself and my health as the number one priority in my life. With a heavy heart I have contacted my 2026 brides and informed them that I cannot, now do the alterations for their big days.

Test Valley Textiles will cease work on the 21st February 2026, and close on 31st March 2026. This will allow me to finish any work I have already currently started and allow Admin (Lord Melvin) time to sort out the admin to close the business properly. I do have some customers that are awaiting a start date for their work in the New Year, but I am so sorry, I am now not going to be able to start any new work from this point.

Finally, I would like to thank all my customers past and present for their support, loyalty and for all the recommendations they gave over social media platforms over the last 11 years.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything. It’s now time to put me first and enjoy any time I have left differently.

As of today England has moved to Step 4 of the Covid unlocking program.
At Test Valley Textiles we are committed to keeping you and ourselves as safe as we can from contracting Covid 19 (Any variant).

As a business we will:

• Continue to clean with anti-viral wipes before and after every appointment.
• Continue to ask customers to check in for their appointments. (Although not legally required it is still a valuable tool)
• Be encouraging customers to use hand sanitiser or handwashing facilities as they enter the premises.
• Be asking COVID-19 related screening questions to clients

– Are you required to be self-isolating?
– Have you had the recent onset of a new continuous cough?
– Do you have a high temperature?
– Have you noticed a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell?
• Keeping the boutique well ventilated by opening the windows and where possible having the door open.
• Limiting numbers in the boutique
• Be testing (Lateral flow) twice weekly

Face coverings are no longer required by law and it is down to the individual to assess the risk. As we are testing twice weekly and the contact we have with customers is going to be in a well ventilated, clean environment we will not regularly wear a mask for an appointment. HOWEVER if you feel at risk , please ask us to and we will wear one.

What we ask of you as a customer:

• Have not been abroad in the previous 10 days to your appointment
• Be symptom free for your appointment.
• Have had a negative lateral flow test in the previous 72 hours(If possible)
• Check into our venue

These measures will be reviewed regularly and will be in place as long as there is an identifiable risk of Covid.
