Techtextil 2026 has come to a close, and what a fantastic few days it has been for Team Bowmer Bond.

We have had a great time exhibiting at Messe Frankfurt, meeting visitors from across the industry, sharing our capabilities, and discussing how Bowmer Bond can support custom webbing solutions, technical textiles and textile assemblies.

A sincere thank you to everyone who took the time to visit our stand. It has been a pleasure to put faces to names, catch up with familiar contacts and build new relationships that we hope will continue well beyond the show.

We would also like to thank the organisers at Messe Frankfurt and the team at Fair Construction for their support throughout the exhibition.

We leave Techtextil feeling positive, grateful and excited for the conversations and opportunities ahead.

Three days into Techtextil and it has already been a busy, positive and productive week for the Bowmer Bond team.

With so much to see and learn across the exhibition, the last few days have been full of valuable conversations. It has been great to catch up with familiar faces, put faces to names and meet new contacts — hopefully the start of some strong new business relationships.

Frankfurt has been sunny and very warm all week, although we have not seen much of it from inside the halls!! ☀️

One more day to go. If you have not had chance to visit us yet, we would be very pleased to welcome you on Stand B78, Hall 11.1.

⚽ Royal Shrovetide Football

As Ashbourne prepares for two days of Royal Shrovetide Football, the town once again comes together to celebrate a tradition deeply rooted in community, heritage, and continuity. Streets become the pitch, generations line the pavements, and history is played out quite literally across the town.

At Bowmer Bond Narrow Fabrics, we are proud to be part of that same living history. Our origins date back to 1795, and we have been based at Hanging Bridge Mills since 1866 — woven into the fabric of Ashbourne for well over two centuries.

Like Shrovetide itself — from the hand-made leather balls to the carefully painted designs that mark each year’s game — our business reflects continuity, skill and generations of knowledge, carried forward while the town continues to evolve

While the ball is turned up and the game unfolds across the town, it’s a timely reminder of what makes Ashbourne special: strong traditions, local pride, and businesses that grow alongside their community.

We wish all players — Up’ards and Down’ards — a safe and memorable Shrovetide.
