Today’s Summer Sewing kids transformed patches of scrap fabric into individual projects of their own. We had a very beautiful scrunchy; hair scarf, purses and a mini tote. I am sure you will be as impressed as I was!

Saturday Stitch Up sewing workshops begin again on September 12th. If you’re 8+ then you can take part. We’re making knot bags this month. They proved very popular with my summer kids’ program. I will have all materials cut and ready to sew for this stylish but simple project. It’s a very good beginner introduction to sewing and I keep my group sizes limited to 5 maximum so that everyone gets lots of help and support. Message to book- £25

I love having birthday party groups in the studio and this group were really eager fast learners. Making a tote bag is one of my longer birthday party options but it does allow me to provide meaningful real sewing coaching. Have you checked out their finished bags?

Everyone finished their shorts in good time today. In all it only took four hours because I had all the fabric cut for their arrival. It’s no wonder that this workshop sells out so fast. The girls’ shorts are fabulous. I loved working with this bunch 😊

What a perfect project for a 2 hour workshop! The girls had a lot of fabric to handle in making this reversible knot bag- but it didn’t worry them one bit. I think lots of adults might like to make this bag too. I will definitely be doing this again- a real winner all round.

The inaugural “Pins and Pims” Sewing Day was a joy to host. Everyone made my newly designed Spa Day Bag- a capacious quilted tote. Not everyone was a regular sewer, but everyone made a beautiful bag. I loved every minute of guiding the group. Message me if you would like me to tailor a sewing workshop for your group.

I’m delighted to be taking bookings for my Thursday Sewing Group. August/September is fully booked but there are places available for Sep/Oct and Nov/Dec. I am happy to suggest projects and provide materials if required. Beginners are very welcome. Message to book.

It’s sew exciting to think that I will soon be meeting my young Summer Sewing students. Some of my classes are fully booked which has caused some disappointment. Sorry about that! However, there are lots of classes that still have availability - they are all accessible and fun. Beginners get lots and lots of help. All fabric is cut and prepared in advance and included in the class price. Message to book.

Did you know that Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays in July and August are set aside for group workshop activities? I can suggest a whole range of suitable projects tailored to the experience and interests of your group. Perhaps you are short of time? Then the super cute Knot Bag or Summer Sunny Bunting can be made in as little as two hours. Maybe you would like to make my Easy Breezy Summer Trousers? You can do that in a day. I also bake a tasty treat for each group. Minimum group size is 3 and maximum is 9. Message with enquiries or to book.
