Good evening to all, we hope you’ve had a fab weekend and are now at home relaxing as the weekends winds to an end 🧘‍♀️

Overall a busy weekend throughout with a nice steady flow of visitors yesterday and today absolutely buzzing with visitors at all times! No doubt today we had some extra visitors who were on route to or just leaving our amazing neighbours down at The Sand Bothy who put on another fantastic ‘Fun’draiser event down at the Bothy. 🎩🐶🚨NEW STOCK ALERT!🚨🐶🎩

Good evening to all, we hope you’re soaking up this sunny weather and excited for the weekend ahead 🙌 Lots of reasons to come visit Balmedie this weekend, in addition to our ever changing new stock, which we will detail soon, there is of course the famous Balmedie Beach Sand dunes.

On route to the dunes however our amazing neighbours down at the The Sand Bothy are worth a visit on their own every weekend all throughout summer. Providing tasty treats and a quality hot coffee before you hit the sand. The community run/volunteer group are regularly hosting spaces and events for locals and people further afield to make use of their building. Additionally they have some top quality knowledge and displays of all things beach related, like a mini museum of fun and curiosities. Importantly though… this Sunday they are hosting their Summer ‘Fun’draiser event from 12-4. There will be lots of stalls, games, entertainment for the whole family! Well worth a visit to support our fab neighbours before or after a venture to OSV 🏖️⛱️☀️

This week we started early visiting a home in cults where we purchased some unreal items and some so big… we had to hire a van! An absolutely magnificent large pine dresser/cabinet, stunning and delighted to have in the shop but not to transport it 😅 Addionally picking up a fan favourite in a architects/artists plan chest 🤩 also some gorgeous chest of drawers, cabinet and boho style headboard that if it doesn’t shift soon…. Will be coming home to one of the team members 🤫

Today we visited a home in the shire where we loaded up the van with a livingroom set and a selection of fav quirky smalls including skulls, vinyl, a chainsaw carved monkey, band posters and a pair of chiseled hopeman slate art 🐵

Another fab weekend down at our Balmedie Beach unit done & dusted with a steady steam of visitors across all 3 days 🙌
As always massive thank you to each and everyone of you who spent part of your weekend with us supporting a small local business 🙏

Over the weekend we purchased a fair few customer drop offs, we have a big visit lined up tomorrow where we are having to hire a van, some lovely big pieces incoming 👀

Some deliveries lined up also and we will continue to work through the ‘Clothes Corner’ we have some absolutely fantastic clothing incoming, just need to get through it! 👙👖🧣👗🧢👚

🎩🐶🚨NEW STOCK ALERT!🚨🐶🎩

Wow, what a week! 😅

As always the team have been flat out, starting the week undertaking 3 deliveries across the city and shire to some happy customers 🙌 🚐

The rest of the week it was operation unit! Continuing are ongoing project into creating the long awaited ‘Clothes Corner’ 👖👚👗 in addition to some well needed upgrades across the unit, many months in the waiting!

A shoutout to the talented Callum from Mair Electrical who came in on short notice to provide an extremely professional service. We finally have a socket safe for us to get the record room powered up 😅 ⚡️

Another massive shoutout to the ever kind Daryl (Siubhan’s equally talented hubby) who gave up his time to get the ball rolling and open up the long awaited ‘Clothes Corner Room’. Daryl came fully equipped for the job on hand whilst his right hand woman Siubhan knew what tool he needed next before he had a chance to get the request in! (Almost like they’ve renovated a home together 👀) 🔨

Pick up wise we had a very exciteful drive back to our countryside antler source where we picked up not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4! Stag skull & antler sets!🤩 🦌

A new batch of Vintage vinyl as always has been added to the Record Room 🎶

Keeping on the musical theme we had a customer drop off from Beatles superfan Sharon. Here we purchased Decorative plates, busts, jigsaw puzzles, computer mouse mats, you name it she had it 🎸

Finally the team have decided we’ve built up to much of our gorgeous glassware (Chris is guilty for buying way to many from every house he visits!) so you’ll be glad to hear we are having a 50% off summer sale for all our colourful glassware 😱

🎩🐶🗣️SUNDAY SUMMARY!🗣️🐶🎩

A fantastic weekend down at our Balmedie Beach unit where the sun shown down on us for the majority of the weekend and the customers & team made the most of our infamously cold unit actually being affa hot for a change 🥵

Friday was a particularly nice day where there was plenty spells of busy periods but also times that were more chilled and at one point Chris loved having a moment behind the desk where three of his lovely regular ladies in Claire, Debbie & Samantha (all strangers) had a chat and a joke amongst themselves talking away for up to 30 minutes and the shop felt more like a nice wee community hub 🗣️🥰

Next week we will continue our work towards the ‘Clothes Corner’ with team members Siubhan & Amelia making sure to keep the fire lit under Chris and keep the ball moving! Stay tuned for some exciting future updates 👀

Additionally we will be undertaking numerous outstanding deliveries to some happy customers 🚐

Good evening to all, apologises again for back to back late posts, the team have been flat out prepping for the weekend ahead and we’re still not finished (considering sleeping over night at the unit at this point!) 😴

With our new summer Friday opening times there’s one last day for us to prep the unit so the rush is on 💨

Early midweek we visited a home in Ellon where we purchased a stylish mid century Highboard perfect for the mcm fans that also doubles up for good vinyl storage 🎶 Also loading up the van with a selection of Royal Daultob Rupert figurines with original box & certificates, two lovely chest of drawers and some vintage vinyl 👌

Today we drove out to the bridge of don where we purchased a vintage record player and an antique player to cover all bases, Addionally picking up a collection of KLM houses and a rare pair of Staffordshire style cat’s with glass eyes, we’ve had plenty dogs but the cats got our attention 🐱

Thanks to the suggestion of one of our lovely regulars we have continued to bring round another selection of gorgeous paintings from our online stock room to let you have a browse in person 🖼️

Finally…. We’ve spoke about it for far too long to our many regulars but we’ve finally got the ball rolling on making a return to the clothing rails. We are far from finished and we will make a grand announcement when the ‘Clothes Corner’ makes its grand reveal but we finally made a small start! 👗👖👚👘

🎩🐶🗣️SUNDAY SUMMARY!🗣️🐶🎩

Goodevening to all, we hope you’ve had a fantastic weekend and are now at home relaxing and unwinding 🧘‍♂️🧘‍♀️

As always a massive thank you to everyone of you who choose to spend part of your weekend with us down at OSV and help support a small local business 🙏

Friday Chris held down the fort solo, expecting it now to be to busy as the weekend and it turned out to be a new Friday record breaking day 🙌

Saturday we had the full squad in with Siubhan, Chris & Craig all darting about seeing to various visitors on another brilliant busy day 🏃‍♂️

Sunday Chris had a day off whilst Siubhan & Craig continued to power through yet another busy day to complete what may be a record breaking weekend 🤩 🙏

Even on his day off Chris couldn’t help but bump into some of our OSV regulars for a catch up. Whilst out in Ellon on his day off with his Mrs walking along the river Ythan he bumped into lovely long time regular Sue, out walking her adorable pup along the river bank. We say walking along the river, but partly hoping along… (Sue will know) 😂

Good evening to all, apologies for the later than scheduled new stock post this week, it’s been a tough first week back adjustment after some time off 🥲

Addionally with van troubles and staff sickness we had a hold on big pick ups that will set to return next week 🙌

This has meant this post has become a mix of new & current stock with the current in all fairness being the first time it’s showcased & out in the unit! 👌

A new in vintage army peace jacket that Craig managed to secure in his luggage after a recent work trip to Italy is being modelled by our very own Amelia, looking very cool rocking it 😎

We grabbed a selection of our vintage & antique gorgeous gilt framed pictures from our online stock room. We gathered our selection of jewlerry cabinets, 2 fresh in 💍
A small house visit we purchased a selection of vintage duvet, blanket & fabric sets (many still in their original packaging) 🛏️ more vintage vinyl, straight into the record room 🎶 some chicken egg holders 🐓 🥚 And a vintage trolley dog toy 🐕

From upstairs, just in time for the summer weather we took down our selection of lovely picnic sets 🧺 Also from upstairs a selection of beautiful retro lampshades of various colours 🪔. Round the back we took out 3 more of the talented ‘lamp mans’ latest creations 🚘 💡

So a not bad haul in all! ✅

🎩🐶🗣️SUNDAY SUMMARY!🗣️🐶🎩

Wow, what an absolute scorcher of a week we’ve had across the city and Shire 🌞 The Sunny weather meant lots of first time visitors just discovering us after a trip down to the famous dunes at Balmedie Beach 🏖️

Friday, Chris and Craig were just starting to pack up their bags after a family trip down south whilst the Shop was opening up. We left the shop in the trusty hands of our amazing OSV ladies in Siubhan and Amelia. We may have to do that more often as the girls handled the place like pros and went onto set a new Friday record since we’ve stared trialing the new opening times 👏

Saturday Craig made his return and Sunday it was Chris’s turn to help back at the shop. The time off was great but it feels good to be back! Excited for the next week ahead where we will get back to planning what we love the most - sourcing some fab new finds from across the North East! 🙌

🎩🐶🚨NEW STOCK ALERT!🚨🐶🎩

At much delight to the female family members behind the OSV team, both Craig & Chris have managed to have (almost) a full week off with the family! 😯

This meant Chris and the team worked extra hard last week to secure two weeks worth of new stock. From the same houses mentioned last week and a couple additional drop offs we held back some fab finds to drip feed into this week. A customer favourite in a butler serving figure and a beautiful gemstone world globe have made their way into the shelves 🌍

From the blackdog house last week where we salvaged items from a very impressive man cave we picked up a Tennents light up draft pourer and afc mirror 🪞🔴⚪️

From the lovely home in bod we picked up a stunning Irish lady mirror, colourful retro kitchen ware and another fav in a gorgeous green gurgle jug 🐠

Some impressive vintage vinyl has made its way Into the record room including some cool picture disks from the beach boys, meatloaf and the cure 🎶

Finally worth mentioning is us continuing to drip feed the talented work of the lampmans latest creations, this week two industrial style automotive table lamps car 🚗💡
