Photo 2 - thanks for featuring our beautiful rose garden in the cover NGS Oxfordshire !

Photo 3 - even the compost heap looks beautiful at the moment with its deadheaded roses! I don’t normally compost any rose waste-it does in the brown bin but this is the first deadheading after all the rain and it’s lovely healthy waste!

Followed by other shots of the garden - early morning and sunset - it’s glorious here in the Sibfords!! It’s going to be great weather this weekend - come and visit!

One of our favourite things is seeing your flowers out in the world.
Thank you @fionalegge for sharing this with us — and for such kind words about your bouquet. It’s never taken for granted.

The flower stall will be open again from Thursday through to Sunday this week, and it’s shaping up to be a really beautiful one.

If you’re popping by, you can expect highly scented lily of the valley (a fleeting favourite that will only be around for a week or so), the last of the tulips, along with alliums, aquilegia, ranunculus, campanula — and perhaps even the very first peonies.

As always, everything is seasonal and a little bit pot luck — but that’s part of the charm.

I’m running a small, relaxed workshop on Saturday 2nd May (2–4pm) where we’ll work with whatever the garden is giving us that week — tulips, ranunculus, anemone and other late spring bits, all with that soft, just-picked feel.
This is one of those times of the year I always look forward to — when the tulips are still just about holding on, the ranunculus are at their best, the early summer flowers are just starting to creep in and everything feels a little full and generous.

We’ll go through how I prepare and condition everything, pause for tea and homemade cake while I show you how I put a bouquet together, and then you’ll make your own to take home.

It’s a small group (as always), so there’s time to go at your own pace — and if a hand-tie isn’t comfortable for your hands, you can absolutely make something in a vase instead.

There are 5 places available
£65 per person

If you’ve been thinking about coming along to something like this, this one will be a lovely, seasonal place to start.
Book your place and i'll see you there:

First wedding of the year and what an amazing day for this Bride and Groom - the most perfect weather and the most beautiful of spring flowers!
Many congratulations to you both!
Flowers consisted of tulips, ranunculus, narcissi, first stems of the lily of the valley, muscari and anemones.
Loved the additional pops of pinks for the bridesmaids bouquets and the sweetest little flowers girls posy.

The flower stall is open this weekend

The doors are open today through to Sunday with a fresh selection of spring bunches, all grown here in our Arts & Crafts garden in Sibford Ferris.

Right now it’s all about Tulips, Bluebells, Camassias and Ranunculus — those first proper spring stems that feel like a bit of a turning point in the year. Grown here, cut fresh, and bundled simply from £15 so you can just take them home and enjoy them straight away.

If you’re passing, do pop by and choose a bunch. Or if you know you’d like something specific, it’s always best to pre-order as the stall is very much a what’s ready today kind of setup.

The Flower stall is open: Thursdays to – Sundays.
