Places to Visit - Auld Kirk

The existence of a church at Cullen was first recorded in 1236, and again in 1275.

Visit the Auld Kirk and find out all about its fascinating history and about Queen Elizabeth de Burgh, second wife of Robert the Bruce, whose ‘interiores partes’ were buried in the church.

Cullen Auld Kirk is open for visitors with Guides on hand to tell you the history of this 13th century church on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between 2pm and 4pm in July and August 2026.

😁 Fun in the sun yesterday (finally after rain all morning!) I tried out the car boot at BA Stores in Dunecht, Aberdeenshire.

In spite of the rain I enjoyed the outing and will return. A nice friendly relaxed boot, met up with vintage pals and sold a few things. ☺️🙏😎
