That's this month's project done

Original sole was falling off these motorcycle boots and the customer was wanting to replace them with a vibram sole.

I've added a leather midsole stitched to the foot bed of the boot to add durability and finished with the vibram Cristy sole unit

New Dainite units and a high shine polish for these Grenson shoes.

Love fitting this dimple unit. Adds extra grip and durability in wet weather compared to leather without making the shoes look too heavy

Back to it after a week away

Apologies for the unusual opening times recently I've done a poor job of planning my holidays this year. Should be back to normal now

Redwing Moc toe restoration to finish the week on. Before finalising the soles I gave these boots a clean and polish. Using cleaners and creams without colour I was able to bring out the original colour of the dye. Given how faded these were before hand they have turned out great

Customer had requested a leather sole for these Paul Smith shoes

The stitches are set further in on these because unlike a Goodyear welted shoe these have been constructed using the Blake method. This is where the outsole is stitched directly to the insole of the shoe. Using this form of construction keeps the shoe lighter weight and more flexible without comprising durability

Got a few Birkenstocks finished off to start the week. Re-soled with the Vibram Woodstock material to keep them light and comfortable.

I love fitting these dainite soles. Trying to show off a bit more of what goes into the repair of Goodyear welted shoes with this one. Forgot to film a few steps but I'm still getting the hang of recording more of my work like this
