POV : You spend 5 years at University studying Criminology, to then open a bridal shop that requires no qualifications.
What people don’t realise, is that owning a bridal shop is not all about playing dress up and making brides feel amazing, there is so much more that goes on behind the scenes.
Spending 5 years at Uni was so much easier than running my own business and building it up from scratch.
It’s takes up so much of your time, it’s not a 9-5 job where you can switch off when you get home from work, it’s constantly chasing orders, checking in with brides, ordering new stock and trying to juggle family life alongside this can become so draining.
But when i look back at how far we’ve come, I am so grateful to have built such an amazing space where our brides can come and just feel at home, most of our brides are aware I had the most awful wedding dress experience when getting married, and one thing I took away from that is how never ever to treat brides.
So i’d like to thank the bridal shop owner who scammed me out of thousands of pounds, never ordered my dress and left me without a dress 3 days before my wedding, because if it wasn’t for you i wouldn’t be where I am today.
