It can be pretty disheartening to see images like this one. A field full of perfectly usable tents, chairs, sleeping bags and other stuff that has had its moment and been left behind.
And then we remember our own little corner of Barry. 🥹
Over the past 12 months, more than 100,000 preloved items have been rehomed through Preloved Project.
100,000 things that didn't become rubbish.
100,000 things given another go.
100,000 things that found someone who needed them, wanted them, or simply thought they were brilliant.
That's not just a number. That's a massive community achievement.
Every time you donate something instead of binning it.
Every time you choose preloved over new.
Every time you pass something on when you've finished with it.
Every time you teach a child that new isn't always better.
You're showing the next generation that we can do things differently.
