This year marks an exciting year for the town of Belper. As one of the remaining textile business in Belper and the Derwent valley, Slenderella is delighted to sponsor the celebrations for Belper 250.

Along with other milestones in 2026, it is 250 years since the first Belper North Mill (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and 300 years since the birth of Jedidiah Strutt.

Belper and the Derwent Valley, is renowned for its rich textile heritage where brands such as Aristoc, Arkwrights, Brettles, Blounts, Jaeger, Pretty Polly, Smedley, Strutts and of course Slenderella, have flourished.

Belper 250, will highlight our industrial past and celebrate the present and future. Many walks, talks and discussion groups will mark this celebration year.

Thank you to the Friends of the Belper 250 organising committee, who are working hard to produce the event for our Town.
