Well as you can see. Huey is flourishing. He's been walking around with the jackdawes this morning pretending to be one of them, he's also eating rabbit p**p. Which so we found out is extremely good for all birds. Not so much so for Lunar though our dog, we nearly had Dewey in the house last night. We turn around to see he was between us and the door so we had to wait until he moves before we could go in. But just wanted you all to see that he is thriving and seems perfectly happy.

Sorry it's Dewey that's on the floor which was the same one that had come off the roof the last time. He seems in really good condition so it's nothing for us to worry about obviously. Mum and dad are keeping a very watchful eye on him still. Huey is having great fun preening his feathers. So he's obviously getting ready to at least practise some wing flaps up on the roof. Just hope he doesn't fall off either LOL

Good news everyone, Louie is back on the roof. So he obviously can fly a little 😁

We need some help. Advice anything really, Dewey has has fallen off the roof and is on the floor. He appears to be absolutely fine. I've put out a bowl of water for him. Really really protective parents came right down. Landed near me and made it known that she was guarding her chick and she ushered them around the corner.
He's cheaping non-stop. We've rung the rspca. They've actually got a thing on their answering machine saying if you're ringing about a bird falling out of its nest. That's usual this time of the year. We rang the rspb and they've got nobody in the area again. An automated answer now it says on the internet to just leave it and the parents will still feed it.
I'm not sure if I should do anything but the problem is we're both disabled so we can't even lift it back on the to the roof and I think we would get severely attacked by the parents.
So do you think we just leave well alone? What I'm concerned about is people are walking up and down the path. Only a couple of feet away from the chick. If you can help, please leave a comment and I mean help with a sensible suggestion please

We couldn't wait to put this post up because it's the first time we've seen them. Really flapping their wings and trying to practise. Getting ready to fly by the looks of it. It's not going to be long. Surprised how big their wings are getting from the little stubs they had just a couple of weeks ago

29/06/2026

Well they keep on with their parents completely non-stop unless they're being fed. It's a battle with them at tee time for who's going to get the biggest share and it's not always Huey. Louie seems to have a lot to prove. Can't believe how big They're getting so quickly

Hi, we're wondering if anyone can help us. We know that raising chicks, especially three, does take a toll on the female, but we want to know if this is normal behaviour for the female seagull as she seems very very lethargic and wobbly on her feet. We haven't seen her fly today and are just getting quite concerned. So if you know any ornithologists out there, could you please share this post to them please. We don't know what to do! As she supposed to be protecting the brood whilst the male is off and he keeps going over to her when he's back.
