But building something means knowing when to make a difficult decision as well as celebrating the god ones.

Council Kids Presents: Kids From.

This chapter isn’t only about fighters, titles or people standing in the spotlight.

It’s also about the people who get up every day and keep trying.

People working on themselves.
People building something from where they are.
People using their voice, their personality and their experiences to represent their city in their own way.

They may not be professional athletes, but they understand what it means to keep moving forward, to back their community and to show the next generation that your surroundings do not have to define your future.

You do not need a title, a platform or permission to make a difference.

Sometimes, simply being visible, being yourself and showing others what is possible is enough to inspire someone else to begin.

Introducing Council Kids Presents: Kids From.

A project created to celebrate the places that shaped us, the communities that raised us and the people who prove that your starting point does not have to define your destination.

Our first chapter begins in Coventry with professional boxer Brad Goldsmith.

Photographed holding the belts he has earned in the middle of a council estate, the message is simple:

It does not matter where you come from.
It does not matter what surrounds you.
Anything is possible when you refuse to stop believing in where you are going.
The estate is not something to hide from.
The struggle is not something to be ashamed of.
Your beginning can become the foundation of your story.

Brad represents the discipline, resilience and determination that exist within communities like these across the country. His journey is proof that the place you start can shape you without limiting how far you can go.

For every kid looking out from a bedroom window and dreaming of something bigger: your surroundings are only the first chapter.

PROJECT 001 - COVENTRY

Introducing Council Kids Presents: Kids From.
A project created to celebrate the places that shaped us, the communities that raised us and the people who continue to fight for them.

Across the UK there are communities, clubs and grassroots projects that have been overlooked for too long.

Spaces that give young people purpose.
Places that create opportunity.
People who dedicate their time to making a difference.

Kids From exists to bring those stories to the forefront.

Through conversations, photography and collaboration with people who represent these cities, we want to raise awareness, support important causes and remind people that where you come from is something to be proud of.

Our first chapter begins in Coventry.

A city with a story.
A community with a voice.
A place that refuses to be forgotten.

The collection is about to drop, and this is your opportunity to help make a real change.

Council Kids was created to celebrate where we come from, the places that shaped us and the communities that gave us our fight.

But this project is about more than clothing.

Standard Triumph Recreation Club has lost its home, leaving a boxing club, its coaches and the young people who depend on it searching for somewhere new. Boxing clubs like this offer far more than training. They provide discipline, confidence, structure, friendship and a safe place for young people to belong.

Profits from every sale in this collection will be donated to the club’s GoFundMe campaign to help secure and create a new home.

If you are from Coventry, KIDS FROM COV represents you, your city and the pride that comes with being shaped by it.

If you are not from Coventry but understand what it means to come from a council estate, an overlooked community or somewhere people counted out, COUNCIL KIDS is for you.

Some are trying to rebuild momentum.

Some have already reached the highest level and are fighting to get back there.

Every career looks different, but every fighter has a story that exists beyond the record.

READY TO FIGHT is a new Against All Odds interview series giving professional boxers the space to speak honestly about their careers, the sacrifices behind them and the opportunities they are working towards.

The first episode features Michael McKinson, a 30-fight professional, former world-level challenger and one of Portsmouth’s most accomplished fighters.

Despite everything he has achieved, the next opportunity is not guaranteed.

He is still training. Still preparing. Still waiting for the phone to ring.

No manufactured drama. No empty call outs. Just honest conversations with fighters at every stage of the journey.
