🚐 A little clarification regarding our van and parking

We’ve recently received yet another complaint about our business van being parked on Parkbridge Road (the side road right next to our shop) and have also had our windscreen wipers damaged by somebody leaving a nasty note. So we just wanted to clarify the situation.

Our van is a working vehicle for Personal Pride Dry Cleaners and is kept at our business premises because it is used daily for our collection and delivery service. It isn’t a vehicle we simply leave there for convenience.

We have a Wirral Council parking permit, the permit states our address on. We are receiving repeated complaints telling us our permit says ‘Borough Road’ so we cannot park anywhere but that road. The permit covers all of the surrounding roads local to our shop. (Borough road itself does not have any parking).

Further to this the signage on Parkbridge Road clearly states that the resident-only restrictions apply only during specified hours (During Tranmere match fixtures only) Outside of those hours, a resident permit is not required.

We do understand that parking around the area can be frustrating, particularly during football matches, and we always try to park considerately and within the restrictions.

What we don’t think is reasonable is being accused of “constant disregard” for local residents when we are operating our small local business, using the parking arrangements available to us and making sure the vehicle is parked in accordance with the restrictions.

If Wirral Council ever advises us that we are doing something incorrectly, of course we will take that seriously and address it. Until then, we will continue to operate our business and use our work vehicle as required.

We’re a local business that has been serving the Wirral for nearly 40 years, and we genuinely appreciate the support of our customers. ❤️

We just wanted to put the facts out there rather than let assumptions speak for us. 🚐

👰🏻‍♀️ WEDDING DRESS CLEANING… WE’VE SEEN IT ALL! 😂

Some of the wedding dresses that have arrived with us for cleaning this month have clearly had the FULL wedding experience… grass, mud, fake tan, makeup, red wine, food, mysterious stains and occasionally what looks like half the dance floor attached to the hem! 🫣😂

And yes, we work absolute magic ✨
We clean, treat, steam and restore them as much as humanly possible.

BUT… WE ARE DRY CLEANERS, NOT MIRACLE WORKERS! 😂🙏🏻

If your dress has spent the night dragging through a muddy field, survived 12 hours of dancing and been stood on by 17 people… please don’t expect it to come back looking like it just left the bridal shop! 🤣

We will always do our absolute best to get your dress looking beautiful again — but sometimes there are stains, damage or discolouration that simply cannot be completely removed.

So ladies… enjoy your wedding day, get your money’s worth out of that dress! 👰🏻‍♀️🥂💃🏻
