We've just dropped these gorgeous new items fresh from Japan, including magnetic keyring holders, fabulous tabi socks and goshoin (temple stamp) notebooks!
Our physical shop at is still the same so you can go there for pin badges, socks and all the other goodies we've picked for you in Japan (plus Grumpy's beautiful gallery of Japanese matchbox label prints).

*backstory...
We originally opened Retro Kimono at Red Brick Market in 2021 (omg, 4 years ago 😱) as a way to downsize a rather large kimono collection. The plan was to have the unit for 6 months, sell the kimono and then leave, hopefully funding a trip to Japan in the meantime! 4 years later and our little unit has grown and evolved in ways we could not have foreseen. We don't even really sell kimono any more 😅 (although we have lots in stock so will be putting them on the website asap). Going forward, it makes more sense to amalgamate Retro Kimono into Grumpy Daruma, which gives us more scope for a broader range of products, both online and in RBM.
For now, why not have a peep at Grumpy's online shop and see if there's a bit of Japan there just for you 💮
