There are some traditions we keep because they remind us where we came from. Others survive for a much simpler reason: they still do the job remarkably well.

A Harris Tweed cloth still begins in the Outer Hebrides, handwoven by islanders using skills passed down through generations.

British Millerain has spent more than 140 years developing fabrics made to face the outdoors. And at Walker & Hawkes, we’re still a family-run business more than four decades after we began.

None of that means standing still. Quite the opposite.

We think the best kind of heritage is something you can take with you, worn on the school run, out with the dog, to a wedding, through a muddy field, and eventually softened by a life well lived.

A little less traditional in shape, but made from a cloth with centuries of story behind it.
