She trained in Clothing Manufacture & Management at Jacob Kranmer Collage in Leeds more than 30 years ago. Eight years later she took time out to gain a BA(hons) in Religious Studies & Environmental Ethics. Over the years she h
as stitched costumes, cushions and curtains for numerous projects / shows in England, Wales, India & Canada. Becoming a company director of a Cloth Nappy company in 1998 until 2006. By focusing on Repairs & Alterations, she blends her skill in sewing with her interest in the environment with particular focus on waste minimization. Also teaching her Sew Skills course twice annually and Sew Your Own Workshops for adults. Being a mum has made her realise how few children are taught how to sew nowadays as it is no longer part of the primary curriculum and many parents lack the skills to pass on. She runs several Stitch Kidz classes to teach kids who would like to learn, in both Home Ed and After school clubs and Textile Art clubs during holidays.
