Yesterday, I told you that I have a new sewing machine.

Very often, my clients ask me what overlocker I use because my stitches are so neat and precise. So today, I’d like to introduce you to my Elna 664Pro – a truly excellent overlocker. I use it every day, and it works perfectly.

As you may know, an overlocker is the only machine that can create an “overlock” stitch. This specialised stitch sews over the edge of the fabric to trim excess seam allowance and prevent fraying. It’s a fantastic way to join fabric pieces together, neatly finish edges, and give each project a professional, long-lasting quality.

Without this wonderful overlocker, my work simply wouldn’t be the same.

- shortening the curtains with finishing the hem and extending them (in window 1)
- finishing the top of the curtains and narrowing them (in window 2)
